It sure would have been nice to see exactly which wire goes to what and where on that it's hooked like the solenoid you said it just goes to the solenoid but where on the solenoid do you attach it.

I bought this to use as my ignition switch on a 1963 Bolens 800 riding mower kzbin.infoUgkxaAnMgzTZ_djF6K1Kr3MGiW_XGUMfUP8n I repowered with a 13hp Predator engine. Worked great! On the back of this switch are 5 terminals labeled G, M, L, S, and B. The G was wired straight to ground, The S was wired from the back of the switch to my starter solenoid. The L is for any accessories, so I ran it from the L terminal to a rear light I have on the riding mower. M is for the coil, so I plugged the stock coil wire to this wire terminal. The B is for constant battery power, so this was wired to the positive battery cable. I turn the key, first click is the accessory position, and my rear light came on as expected. Turned the key all the way and Vroom...the engine started. Turn it back to the off position, and the engine turned off. Perfect! Hope this helps!

Great video-Thank you! I have a JD 2640. Same original key switch, but mine has 4 wires coming off of it. One looks like the shifters might go to the neutral safety switch under the plate. Did you just bypass or eliminate that in this new setup?

I have a JD 2150 that had a defective ignition Switch with 6 terminals on the old switch and it had 5 wires going to it. I can only identify the BATT cable right now. The old switch did not have any of the pins identified. The new replacement switch clearly has the following labels on the pins BATT/IGN/ST/ACC/ST/GRD. The problem I have is that other than the BAT cable I don’t know what pins the other 4 cables go to! I have pictures of the old switch and was hoping you might be able to help with either the pin labels on the old switch if I sent you the picture or assist in trying to figure out what wire goes to what terminal on the new switch. Thanking you in advance for any help you can offer.

What size battery are you using?

I usually put same size battery as in my truck (Nissan Titan) 750 CCA but this time we had car battery from Toyota.

I have a question. My whole light assembly is trash and I removed the harness. The light switch is damaged and as I unplugged the wires now the tractor turns but no longer starts…. It was running perfectly about 10min before I decided to clean up my tractor from dangling wires. I did not remove anything else other than the light harness…. Is there a correlation??? Why would the tractor bot start now? Thanks for any help

Hey brotha! You might sorted it out completely. I would check feed 12V to fuel shut off solenoid when key in ON or Crank position. You should read 12V. Seems like you're missing fuel. Bzw, wht tractor do you have?

I've got a question. I pulled my ignition switch from my international 234 and it has a g1 and g2 on the terminals. Any idea what it means?

Hey Brandon! G1 and G2 is ground to the switch mounting bracket, grounded only when switch in cranking position.

*Built well, **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend plugged right into my rider 4500 series. Was short the rubber cap key and was was sent right out in the mail. Just ordered another ignition switch for my 6500 rider.*

Usless video. Where do the wired come from and go to???? Which connector do they attach too? No answers just a bunch of talk that doesn't tell us anything except that you got your switch to work but nothing about HOW. A waste of time.
