Tractor Loading Pine Logs on Trailer

Hauling big logs doesn't necessarily require a semi. It's possible to use a tandem axle trailer and a pickup truck to haul 16 or even 20 foot long longs. And a small tractor can do more than you might expect to make the loading process manageable. Watch here to see a 1,900 pound log loaded with a compact tractor.

Just a couple of things I do different, fist I leave the forks touching the loaded log before walking up to insert a chock under a log and I have a heavy attachment on the three point lift for counterweight. Also for those who don't know, anytime you are lifting something heavy, 4 wheel drive is a must especially up or downhill. With the load taking the weight off the rear wheels, your rear tires will slide instead of stopping the tractor. Still a nice job.
