I had a similar situation yesterday. I was going just about 60mph. I notice when I got the spare on and going 50mph for 3 miles, the spare tire is somewhat hot. Any ideas as to what is causing that?

The Colberts are a Scottish Highland family who intermarried with the Chickasaw people over multiple generations. People act like I'm joking when I say that, but I'm not, the Chickasaw were the historical ally of the English and therefore interacted more with diasporic groups from the U.K. than with other Europeans.

I realize this video is now 3 years old but I wanted to add some information for future viewers. Flair-It offers a special “insert and nut” so that you can connect the braided flexible hose to their white PEX fittings like the ones in this video. It’s Flair-It part number 06325. As noted by another commenter, you should use the braided flexible hose on either side of the RV’s water pump to help reduce or eliminate vibration noise. You can buy a “pump silencing kit” that comes with 2 lengths of 1/2” braided flexible hose with proper fittings or, if you have some extra hose you can use Flair-It’s “insert and nut” part with their PEX fittings to connect the braided flexible hose.

Thanks for posting. I have similar issue to fix. The Surflo operation installation manual specifically "recommends that at least 1 ft of of 1/2 inch high pressure flexible tubing be connected to both ports. It should not be connected to plastic or rigid pipe". Vibration from the pumps oscillation can cause noise or crack rigid components. Using the nut that you mentioned is missing seems to be the manufactures recommendation. I found it online but delivery is not for a couple weeks. I've been the RV dealer and they tell me not to use hose clamps on the pressure side which is exactly what the manufacture recommends. Go figure!

At the beginning of the video, you say, "The black tank shows empty, and that's correct." Then, when the wiring is repaired, you say, "The black water tank is now showing full... so that looks like it's a job completed." Was the tank empty or full? I just cleaned and treated all the connections that are not in the tank, for all my tanks, and my dang black water tank is showing full when I know it's empty. I think my next order of business is to clean the inside probes?

hrm. 1:05 you're running 2s lithium ion without per-cell monitoring, which is a bad idea. Since you're already using regulators, it's safer to go with a 1s setup and just step up to what you need and/or use buck-boost. 1:53 that diode shouldn't be needed with the charge controller, should it? There should be a D1 per the reference design for the cn3795 which should prevent backflow. 1w might not sound like a lot, but without a heat sink and nothing else to really dissipate the heat with, it's obviously going to fail. You only want that builtin shutoff to activate as a last resort. 165c is way too hot.

hi, great video, i have a behringer uca202 , i need to go from a guitar multifx 'headphone' out to the behringer input, however it is very very quiet, could you suggest a circuit i could build on 9v that would boost it to the proper levels....i have parts and can solder etc, i just cant find anything that goes from a headphone level to a 'line in' which i presume the behringer input is. or do i need to build a phono preamp? thanks in advance, i too dont want to use a full size mixer as it needs to be portable as im using the behringer with a tablet and OTG adaptor...

Hello, thank you very much for the video, it has very difficult information to find. Can I use the cn 3791 module to charge a mobile phone? If I connect a mobile phone with a 5V booster to one output of the module and a 18650 battery to the other output, will the battery charge the phone when there is no sun? Also, how will the module behave in cloudy weather? Will it stop charging when clouds come and start again when the sun comes out? Wouldn't this be harmful to the battery?

Great tutorial for the RV audio/visual system. I would like to send out a special shout-out to "Jack", the very groovy and cool cat. Notice how, inspite of being filmed, Jack continues to "scan" the area looking for rodent type intruders. A cat truly dedicated to his job.

Bob did more with little money and good intentions than HOWA does with more money. Apparently there won't be anymore van builds and what HOWA does besides virtual and occasional get togethers is questionable. I don't think Bob has much to do with HOWA, which is sad. I guess the problem is one needs a van.

Hi chuck does this reduce the charge life of one battery more than the other ?as i got told do what you but to go positive on one battery and ground on second great video and very clear instruction thanks
@ImnotChuck.
@ImnotChuck. 10 ай бұрын
No, the heavy gauge wire connecting the two batteries together makes certain there is no voltage difference between them. The individual cells in both batteries "think" that they are all in the same battery. If you want a more detailed answer, read the post that I have at the top of the comments. Thanks for watching and for your question.

incorrect it does reduce charge life.. i have the same batteries the dealer hooked up your way with thick wire and the main battery died. i had to replace it with in 15 months. I'm hooking them up one wire on one battery and the other on the second battery.. the way it should be wired..@@ImnotChuck.

I had them hooked up with positive on one and negative on the other. Then the one with the positive charge cable died first. Batteries are not always perfect and electricity is a working theory.

Great video Chuck. What's your take on California RVers parked without moving for months-on-end on streets that have city signs posted "NO Parking Any Day 7pm-5am". Do you think those RVs could justifiably be moved to adjacent streets that allow overnight parking?
@ImnotChuck.
@ImnotChuck. 10 ай бұрын
When I see the pics of dilapidated RVs parked along the side of roads and streets, I think it's a double shame. For one, it's a shame that some people are having to live like that, and two, that otherwise nice areas are being turned into eyesores by the RV's. I have a heart for the homeless and want them all to have a clean, safe place to live, but I know that some choose to live the way they do. I really don't have an answer for the problem. Thanks for watching and for your thoughtful question.
