Thank you for showing us this one, and sorry about your friend. My 80+ yr old uncle flipped tractor much like this, but without the full cab, onto him himself several years ago. He was pinned with his arm against the manifold, for almost 2 hours, due to the remote location and inability to get heavy rescue equipment up their steep, mountainside driveway. Eventually, between airbags and a small tow truck, they were able to get him out. He was hospitalized for several weeks with 3rd degree burns on his arm, among other injuries. I kept thinking about how lucky the farmer was that he escaped relatively unscathed. Realizing how massive an extracation that my uncle's case was made, by watching this, made me thankful.

+Ron Pratt - your dedication of this video is truly special; you are no stranger to my opinion of you by now, but in case there was any doubt, YOU are one of those people that God places in our lives to make our lives richer and happier. I can only hope to ever visit your part of the US (as yet I am yet to venture outside the UK), and if I am lucky enough to do so, I would be delighted to look you up and shake your hand. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us all, and for the work that you do under the most adverse of conditions - and I am more than sure that your dedication will mean a vast amount to the family of the deceased friend, as I for one would class myself to be eternally lucky to be an acquaintance, let alone a friend, of yours. May God bless you in everything you do, and I pray that you are kept safe.

RIP Darrell. We all will be missed by family and friends one day. Through the years, I've lost my 2 sisters, my dad - and Mum went last August - just her time - she was 79. Ripped my heart out seeing her go - but it's better than watching her suffer. I only have my brother left. Life is short. Ron - that was a beautiful tribute. God Bless You, Your family, and your subscribers.

Ron, a great tribute to your friend. Cancer is a horrible, insidious disease -- I lost my grandfather to lung cancer back in 1971. It is always hard to lose a loved one -whether that one is a friend or a family member. You have my sympathy and prayers for his family!

You don't need to have a person by your side for their warmth, love and character to leave a mark on your life. Your friend Darrell will have passed through those gates smiling as his pain ceased, and knowing that he made a difference to you. And I'm pretty sure a place has been reserved for you with a wee marker on it that says "Not yet awhile". Ron, with every video you post I have felt a share of your warmth, your humility, your compassion and your love for your fellow travelers on this journey we call life. That right there has earned you your place in the Kingdom of Heaven. Tonight I'll add Darrell to my prayers, and a word or two for you in your grief. God Bless you and yours Ron. With love from Scotland.

@GM8101PHX3 жыл бұрын
Johnny You can reserve your own spot in heaven by simply asking Jesus to become your Lord and Savior, admit you are a sinner as we all are, and ask Jesus to forgive of you of your sins!! Very simple but it must come from the heart. Then find a church that preaches directly from the Holy Bible!!! This goes for anyone that reads this message!!!

For those of us that believe, we know your friend is safe in God's arms. No more pain, no more sadness. RIP Ron's friend. A good friend of mine died when the farm field creek bank crumbled under his tractor tires and he tipped into the creek with the tractor on top of him. I was on the VFD, but we were too late getting there and had no way to get the tractor off of him. So, this video was a sad reminder of his tractor accident in 1960. Tnx for the videos and God Bless.

Very nice eulogy. My friend Andy also recently lost his life to cancer, in his case a brain tumor. This is why it is SO important to keep the ROPS up any tractor, if it is a folding type. This fellow did OK being protected by the roll bar. Without the ROPS, he may have been injured far worse or killed. In my childhood, long before tractors had ROPS, I knew a fellow that was killed in a simple roll over.
@veulmet6 жыл бұрын
he likely got hurt from the wheel jerking in the wreck and yes the roll over systems are key to coming out alive,

@RonPratt6 жыл бұрын
ROPS is an acronym for Roll Over Protection System. One that you may be familiar with, but may not even realize what it is would be the large folding tube on the back of most zero-turn mowers. They are designed to help reduce/prevent injuries or entrapments in the event of a rollover.
