+Ron Pratt - your dedication of this video is truly special; you are no stranger to my opinion of you by now, but in case there was any doubt, YOU are one of those people that God places in our lives to make our lives richer and happier. I can only hope to ever visit your part of the US (as yet I am yet to venture outside the UK), and if I am lucky enough to do so, I would be delighted to look you up and shake your hand. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us all, and for the work that you do under the most adverse of conditions - and I am more than sure that your dedication will mean a vast amount to the family of the deceased friend, as I for one would class myself to be eternally lucky to be an acquaintance, let alone a friend, of yours. May God bless you in everything you do, and I pray that you are kept safe.

Ron, my condolences on the loss of your friend. I have a friend like that, in that we met on KZbin and we hope to one day meet in real life and we talk often on Facebook. (need to introduce my friend to this channel). Keeping you and your friends family in my prayers. As for the video/job. I am glad it wasn't any worse. That was an awesome job you did. I also like how you can be serious yet joke with your fellow employees (the crossing of the lines/streams, I totally got that and love the movie series it referenced). Stay strong. Stay safe. May God bless and be with you as you mourn your friend.

You don't need to have a person by your side for their warmth, love and character to leave a mark on your life. Your friend Darrell will have passed through those gates smiling as his pain ceased, and knowing that he made a difference to you. And I'm pretty sure a place has been reserved for you with a wee marker on it that says "Not yet awhile". Ron, with every video you post I have felt a share of your warmth, your humility, your compassion and your love for your fellow travelers on this journey we call life. That right there has earned you your place in the Kingdom of Heaven. Tonight I'll add Darrell to my prayers, and a word or two for you in your grief. God Bless you and yours Ron. With love from Scotland.

Thank you for showing us this one, and sorry about your friend. My 80+ yr old uncle flipped tractor much like this, but without the full cab, onto him himself several years ago. He was pinned with his arm against the manifold, for almost 2 hours, due to the remote location and inability to get heavy rescue equipment up their steep, mountainside driveway. Eventually, between airbags and a small tow truck, they were able to get him out. He was hospitalized for several weeks with 3rd degree burns on his arm, among other injuries. I kept thinking about how lucky the farmer was that he escaped relatively unscathed. Realizing how massive an extracation that my uncle's case was made, by watching this, made me thankful.

@GM8101PHX
@GM8101PHX 3 жыл бұрын
Johnny You can reserve your own spot in heaven by simply asking Jesus to become your Lord and Savior, admit you are a sinner as we all are, and ask Jesus to forgive of you of your sins!! Very simple but it must come from the heart. Then find a church that preaches directly from the Holy Bible!!! This goes for anyone that reads this message!!!

Ron, I think I have watched everyone of your videos and something kind of struck me in today's video while watching you setup for the lift. It usally takes much longer to get ready to lift than actually doing the lift, I know you were teaching how to setup and crib the truck properly in this video which teaching always takes a bit longer, but it is true the devil is in the small details to do a safe and successful lift. I also was thinking while watching the video about your request you made to your friend Darrell about saving you a place. After watching all of your video and seeing how you treat the people around you and how care about others, I am sure you have already earned your place.☺

Very nice eulogy. My friend Andy also recently lost his life to cancer, in his case a brain tumor. This is why it is SO important to keep the ROPS up any tractor, if it is a folding type. This fellow did OK being protected by the roll bar. Without the ROPS, he may have been injured far worse or killed. In my childhood, long before tractors had ROPS, I knew a fellow that was killed in a simple roll over.

ROPS is an acronym for Roll Over Protection System. One that you may be familiar with, but may not even realize what it is would be the large folding tube on the back of most zero-turn mowers. They are designed to help reduce/prevent injuries or entrapments in the event of a rollover.

My neighbor, parents, friends and i know the cancer things all to well. My grandma, mother, aunt and i all have had different forms. Ovarian, skin, intestional, breast, and ive had bone. My neighbor had luekmia. Tough stuff you wish onto noone not even enemies. Rollbars save lifes with equipment. I hate seeing my neighbor have his in haul/storage mode hinged backwards. Especially when he operates it. I know others do it too and i cant stomach if after a few scares of a rollover myself. The farmer is lucky. Ill take a broken arm over anything else that could have happened with an accident in a 7,000+lbs machine.

First Frosty the Towman and now Tow Mater...On a more serious note, I have lost friends and family to cancer. I know they are in a much better place with our Heavenly Father and they are not hurting anymore. Sometimes we are needed to act as God's hands. You examplify that and an earthly angel. God bless.

For those of us that believe, we know your friend is safe in God's arms. No more pain, no more sadness. RIP Ron's friend. A good friend of mine died when the farm field creek bank crumbled under his tractor tires and he tipped into the creek with the tractor on top of him. I was on the VFD, but we were too late getting there and had no way to get the tractor off of him. So, this video was a sad reminder of his tractor accident in 1960. Tnx for the videos and God Bless.

Where is your hat camera ? Long distance tri-pod doesn't show enough detail of the act of the rigging & lift.
