I was the guy that delivered this tractor to you. I still remember the look you had on your face. Some things you just never forget. I am glad you still have it in full action.

Just so disgusting in the respect of what ya pay for them and the fact they can't make them reliable with their exhaust crap. Trucks or tractors or anything diesel I gess

Enjoying the tractor tour. I have 6 John Deeres and have never considered trading one off. They each have designated jobs to do . They set the standards the for the rest to compare to . Like the '55 series the best. Thanks for taking the time to show.

Great video thanks for sharing. A testament to how well these machines are built and with regular upkeep how they will last. Im not so sure how these newer tractors will last but we will see in 10 years or so.

You know I think the same comments were made when the fifty series came out about the generation of the tractors before them.I think with what equipment is today that they will last as well.

I remember we bought a new 4230 in 1977 it was the last tractor the JD dealer sold before they closed, my dad paid 19000 for it we stopped farming in 1992 the 4230 had a 4440 motor in it at the sale, it sold for 24000 dollars ran smooth as silk.... the reason for motor replacement was running alcohol in it at tractor pulls basically destroyed the 2 center pistons, I was baling hay one day and the crank broke, my brother went to Iowa and got a motor from a 4440 that had burned it ran smooth as silk when we swapped the motors out

Are you useing any special oil? Or synthetic oil? What’s your oil change interval? I know tmr tractors go long hr before kicking the bucket.
@bigjim57236 жыл бұрын
was gonna ask the same question, but now will be waiting on the answer. thanks.
@FarmingFixingFabricating6 жыл бұрын
Our oil change interval is 250 hours. We are using Kendall conventional motor oil. ( Non synthetic). We also use Motor Kote hyper lubricant every third oil change.

How do you keep the 7720 from gelling up? Ours at work goes through a set of filters per day even with #1 fuel if it is below 10 degrees.
@kensampson6046 жыл бұрын
Do you have problems with gelling up in that 7720?
@FarmingFixingFabricating6 жыл бұрын
@@kensampson604 no we don't have any feeling problems with gelling. We run a 70% Diesel with 30% kerosene. You might have an algae. Problem. Although it is cold and usually not common when cold but it could have a build up that is coming lose when cold. Get the fuel as low as you can and drain the tanks.
