Great to see a semie old 175 hp JD 7810, new McCormic X7.680 with 175hp and imagine an old Ford 9600 also about 175 hp, they all are nice mid size tractors, not to big or to small for many jobs on a farm, like the open station JD 5055E, beautiful tractor

Quite amazing the HP used for today's tasks compared to years ago. You would never see a 175 HP tractor mowing forage. Times have changed!Good video!

The big difference today is speed and width. A 4020 on a 1209 in the 70’s was running 3 mph at 9 ft where this 7810 is going 10 mph cutting 13 ft. A 7810 is 20 years old now and often tractors of that vintage get put on light pto work no mater the size.

Another great video, the first tractor pulling the mower ,i thought was going a little too fast, when you have some of the crop laying the blades tend to skid over the crop rather than cut it, as for the forage harvesters they needed to be supported by more lorries, I don't think it's good practice to have any type of harvester having to wait that old saying "time is money", all the very best look after yourself regards Kevin Fox,London Essex.

McCormick’s looking brilliant on the clamp! Do you get many farms running them in w. Kentucky ? I was lucky enough to demo their 300hp x9 at a tillage event last year in the U.K., nice tractor !

Here are my questions: Is it the responsibility of the forage harvester driver to guide the shute? How does the compactor driver know when stuff is packed enough?

Nice video! Does anybody know about them Chopper boxes on the trucks? Open and close is by automatic or manual? As I was a kid we had to open and close the tipper/dumper behind a tractor by hand. Was sometimes hard so that we needed a hand too, bud always a pleasure for me (as a town kid).

Automatic, there are little flippers that catch on the bed chain. When the chain moves the flippers go with to open.

This was a mix of 17,18 and 19. It takes several trips to catch the steps as they take three days and this farm is a 90 mile trip one way. Rye chopping wrapped up at the end of March. Alfalfa starts next week.

@@bigtractorpower Just wanted to give you a big thumbs up for the way you combined three different seasons' footage here, it works really well! And it's an excellent method to make video editing more economical. I for one really don't care what year the footage is from in clips like this - and if it's relevant for some reason in another video (e. g. different machines showing up) you can always point out it's archive material and the farm did not in fact pull an all-nighter to repaint their equipment haha. Thank you Jason, always love seeing new videos! Cutting and chopping grass and grain in particular has a special place in my heart.
