I felt a little emotional watching this. When I was a teenager, Tmac was my favorite player bar none. I wanted him to win one so bad especially when he came to Houston. So much potential for a championship career but was cut short due to injury.

People still need to understand that before Kevin Durant, there was Tracy McGrady. 6'8" with an approximately 6.5-7ft wingspan, can handle the ball and move like a guard, a silky smooth jumper, and can pull up from almost 30ft or more!!! Not to mention, can finish at and around the rim with either hand.

t mac to me is the prototypical wing, if you’re creating a perfect small forward in a lab, you’ll end up with him. from a skill and talent standpoint he had everything. he could score in every way from everywhere on the court, he was 6’9 extremely athletic with freakishly arms who could pass, rebound and defend. truly one of the most gifted the sport has ever seen.

T Mac is my favorite player to watch highlights of ever, but I will forever be perplexed by his lack of impact on winning. There are plenty of players not even of his caliber who had a weak squad, but still managed to win an occasional playoff series. I don’t understand why T Mac couldn’t will his team to a playoff victory, not once. I don’t want to say that he had no winning intangibles, but I just don’t understand why a guy of his caliber couldn’t lead his team to a playoff win against an equal team.

Although he definetly could finish with force, T-Mac is the smoothest scorer I've ever seen along with Kobe and KD (Kyrie is in a bracket of his own because he's a lot smaller than your average scorer. ) I mean absolutely no disprespect to Derrick Rose but Tracy's the best player who was ravaged by injuries. So gutted to have seen career gone downawards because of that.
