Tracy McGrady is one of the greatest basketball players in the history of the NBA. His skill set is one of a kind, and during his prime, he had it all. But it wasn’t his creativity around the rim, ability to finish or silky smooth jump shots that made him great. He was on his way to become an all-time great, but the injuries got the best of him. I picked up the game kinda late. I wrestled until about 7th grade. I got a bit taller then, so I wanted to give it a try. I was pretty average through high-school. I was young for my grade, so right after senior year I went from about 5'11 to 6'3 in my shoes. When I got to college I just got extra obsessed cause I didn't have my other two sports anymore. i played damn near every day at the rec. An older black fellow that was always there playing started seeing how I was coming along. He chatted up everybody. He saw how I dribbled with both hands and even the shorter guys would start letting me run the point after a couple trips down when they saw how i handled. I started going mean to the hole, started using this crazy pull up where I just went as high as I could where most people couldn't get a contest to it. I got some shot blocking going. One of the closest thing too was that crazy behind the back pass to the post. The older guy gave me the nickname White Tmac and it caught on cause people thought it was kinda funny but true. Definately shrinking it down to the rec level, but I was still super proud of that cause if people saw anyyyything like this man they are saying you too tall and too smooth.

Tmac and DWade were my favorite players and I wasn't even watching NBA in those years because of school and lack of cable TV. I just love using them in NBA Live and watching their highlights from the game and internet 😄 I was wishing he came to Miami instead of Spurs.
