Looking young is primarily genetics, hydration, nutrition and LIFELONG self care. To quote Jennifer Garner ‘remember ladies: nothing looks so good at 50 as sunscreen in your 20s’. Check the research, take good care of yourself and do the reasonable things - don’t forget the before bed routine, it’s essential! I’m 56 and often get told I look 37-38 after a life of daily running and multiple marathons (tinted sunscreen and hats like a religion). Great luck, tons of water & regular self-care!!!

Any tips from your skin care routine please
@yogisurfrunner19256 ай бұрын
@@vanitagomes3794 I can try to name a few things - they are mostly just health maintenance: I drink a gallon (lit 16 8 oz glasses of water ea day), take a collagen supplement daily & make sure I get enough Omega 3, I wear tinted moisturizer w/sunscreen as a daily habit & am particular about skincare as I have sensitive skin so tend toward natural products (shea butter, vitamin E, aloe, etc). I’ve been a runner since I was 12 and a yogi since I was 20 & work to have good sleep hygiene. BC of a hysterectomy in my 30s (endo) I’ve been on HRT for a long time - it is not the blessing everyone raves about, it has its challenges too - the one bonus I think is that HRT came with a caution for sun exposure (I actually get a heat rash if I sit on the sunny side of the car on a long trip w/my arm not covered) so it has been a drag for doing things this surfer girl loves but has probably protected my skin for that weird reason.

I am 67 and 5'1". Weigh 125 pounds. If go under that weight it will show in my face plus, I do not feel good. I am persuaded that everyone has a certain weight their body wants to be. Aging is going to happen no matter what, but there are things we can do. I feel one of the best things I've ever done is to have stayed the approximate weight all my adult life, not forgetting to be contentious about how much you are gaining during pregnancy. Because of that I have had 3 daughters and no stretch marks.

Stretch marks are almost entirely determined by genetics, though, not weight gain during pregnancy. Lots of very thin people have them even on their hips/thighs/breasts just from minor changes during puberty. And plenty of women that stay a healthy weight during pregnancy still get them. I also had no stretch marks after my pregnancy, same with my mom and sister - again, genetics. Not trying to discount the importance of staying healthy and avoid too much rain during pregnancy, I definitely agree. Just don’t want to shame the many women who got them no matter how healthy they remained during pregnancy.
@magentared58226 ай бұрын
@KatMolitor I agree completely. I had seven, and no stretch marks, Mom had five with none and my sister one child & no stretch marks. We are all different size-wise. Must be genetics. My ex-husband has some, and a couple of our daughters do after childbirth & our others don't.

So I thought I was having menopause brain, but it turns out I just needed a CPAP machine. I don’t technically qualify because I don’t have that many moments of apnea, but I was so exhausted until I started using one. It makes a world of difference. I had gained about 10 pounds and the doctor said it could actually be that last 10 pounds of weight. The good news is I feel great and if I lose the weight, I could actually try not using the CPAP and see how I feel. I was curious about what you said about the workouts. Everything I’ve read says that too much stress during a workout for a post menopausal woman makes you create cortisol, which then makes you gain weight. What do you think?

I sleep on sides ( both ) have no wrinkles . So , it's hard to relate to this particular thing . I know so many dermatologists also say that it does cause wrinkles , but I do not relate to it. I'll be turning 40 in 6 months .

@sallyornelas1844 Well , I have good skincare in place and am not afraid of getting wrinkles. Skincare for me is about taking care of my skin for it to look healthy and also self care. I do not look for or intend to never get wrinkles. If they are delayed very well. But I am not afraid of having them whenever they appear. I am quite secure in that area. 😊

@katemiller7874 I don't need to because I have zero insecurities regarding wrinkles. Sooner or later, we all will have them. So , no, you didn't make me worry. 😀

Nice video, though good idea to mention potential side effects of supplements. The sleep gummies are shown to cause constipation, nausea or sleeplessness because the sleep issue can be caused by so many factors, as can constipation. I looked amazing at your age too, without doing much except eating clean, exercising and I guess the unfortunate chronic stress hadn’t caught up yet. Still look younger than my age, but definitely could be better, and age is an inside job + some genetics though we can influence a lot by lifestyle factors- you’re right! Very nice aesthetic and presentation. ❤

When it’s cooler I get a much better sleep score on my fit bit. 70 in summer, 68 in winter😊 I took probiotic supplements for years, but studies are showing there are so many different types and research is in its infancy, so scientists are recommending (as you say) to get it from your foods, pre, post everything 😉. Yes fitness routine videos‼️
