Our society has made weak women and men of late. Becoming a homesteader makes you a strong woman. When you have animals that you raise from birth to harvest/butcher, dealing with predators/attacks, working in the elements, dealing with the hardships that come on homestead, that makes us strong women. I’m 46. I hate the term trad wife. I’m old fashioned, very very old fashioned lol. I think women getting in the work force took jobs from men who needed it to support his family. I could very easy go back to the 1800’s. I gave birth to 5 girls and 2 boys. I homeschool, prep, can, make everything homemade and strive to be a proverbs 31 woman. I fall short but that’s where I strive. I’ve never had to work and always had a man taking care of me and that gives me time and strength to do my best and give my family the me I want them to have. What they deserve. Oh and I hate the term feminism…. I'm an old lady. :) My babies are probably older than you and I have to say, I really respect you and the 'Trad Wives'....didn't even know what that was until I stumbled on it. haha. I LOVE seeing these young ladies embracing traditional roles of wife, motherhood, etc. I wasn't that lucky, unfortunately, and always ended up being the breadwinner. By the grace of God, I am successful in the eyes of the world, but that also comes at a cost as I'm sure I'll die alone, sadly. :( My heart absolutely breaks for Lily. You have made some wonderful decisions in your life and I really am thankful that you are speaking out. I understand how Society treats stay at home moms. As a mom of seven children and a grandma to nine I have seen and heard a lot of things by unkind people. I also had several of my children later in life and that was judged! I also homeschooled all of my children all the way through and people didn’t understand that especially since I started way back in 1992 when it wasn’t as popular as it is today.
