I do agree with the worry of the artificial division of the community and game with the likes of Discord and TLO. And I truly believe that issue will extend beyond housing. A lot of official things (such as roleplaying events, Burkeland Games, official/unofficial crews) are seemingly hidden/closed off to the rest of the new players coming in. I would have never found out about it had I not joined. Heck, when I started out, I didn't even know TL had a Discord at the time! It turns into a gated community of sorts, and new players who may be interested in this kind of thing are required to go out of their way to find us. Some players simply cannot or refuse to join a Discord server (reasons vary) But if most of your game lives on Discord and not enough on TL, a lot of new players will wind up lost and confused, only to find out the rest of the game lies on Discord.

bruh this game is getting way to in depth but i like that

the toxic community killed this game sadly one big problem is that all factions are not at war and the pirates are left to fight all 3 alone. This makes playing as a pirate impossible since you will always have less crew and be facing more odds. So instead of being a real trade game with possibility of threat is removed. sad to see from the days of when tradelands had 3-5k average players.
