Modern-day treasure hunter Drew Pritchard goes for a climb at a 17th-century mansion in Cambridge. Later, he visits a massive salvage yard where he encounters a tough negotiator.
Drew Pritchard, the owner of one of the UK's largest decorative salvage yards, is always on the lookout for new items to replenish his stock, and he has no qualms about scouring the countryside for them. This series follows Drew as he searches for old and lost pieces of history throughout the world, including some opulent estates. But locating them is only half the battle; Drew must persuade the owner of each object to sell it to him for a good price, and then it's off to the scrapyard, where his team restores it to its former glory before selling it for profit.

Have watched Salvage Hunters for years, love the show. Only problem with the format was every piece he buys, Drew explains what it is, at least once, the voice over dude explains what it is again, then Rebecca repeats it when they get back lol The newer episodes Rebecca is more background researcher for unusual items Drew buys, since they split up but she is/was still part of the business.

I love this show, I live in the United States and American Pickers is good but this show is better, we dont have any castles that are 1000 yrs old over here because our country isnt that old, its fun the see these old castles and furniture and history, this is my new favorite show.

Master Woodcarvers and Cabinetmakers: Weberding's Carving Shop, Inc., State Road 46, Batesville, Indiana. Old world craftsman. I worked with a Master woodcarver from there, after he retired. He taught me a lot about the craft.

Have you ever been to or been in Exning House in Exning? I have been trying to find out more about it and the surrounding area. My grandfather ran the stables there almost his entire life and my mom grew up there. They lived in a little house next to the horse stables on the property. It would be so cool if you could tell me anything about the estate or the area at all. My mom was born in 1929. This mansion you're currently at in Cambridge is beautiful. I think Exning is fairly close to Cambridge. Anything you could tell me would be awesome.

Drew has a big store in Wales and a new one in an upper class shop in London. He has customers who kit up houses in France. Also he has an internet business selling to customers in the States and Europe as well a strong restaurant and shop business. He isn't suffering by anymeans. He had a customer building 2 houses in France and his order cleared out Drew's inventory and loaded up a big van.

He does his buying on camera for real, but he has other dealings and buys off camera too. The camera guys arrive first and chat with people, but apart from a camera filming from the inside as they enter, it doesn't seem too prestaged to me. In his book he talks about how they wanted him to do it, which was very fake. He blew his top and threatened to quit even after he had a contract. They got a different director that agreed to let him do it his way.
