I would advice you to make sure you know and have a trading strategy before going into trading. Trading is very complicated that is why a lot of people going into it and after loosing their start up capital twice or multiple times, never go back to it. This seems tied in with Elliott wave theory reversals. Ew works with 1-5 movements and abc corrections (8 count) and the 9th candle would make the beginning of a reversal.

First he counts three days back, from 9 to 6. From there, he counts four full days back. Very confusing illustration. Neither works about half of the time. Check the DOW / Russell from late July through Aug 8, 2011 to see that you would have bought before a major drop. It did work for the Nasdaq during that period. At best, it can give you a vague idea of a reversal. Even then, not all the time. You would have gotten killed during the mid Jan-early Feb 2012 rally using this indicator.
