Trading GBPUSD for the day! (Trader Vlog)

Was trading gbpusd with breakout trading. Gbp/usd is a currency pair where you can do a breakout trade once in a while. I do breakout trading in forex once in a while because it is pretty straight forward.
I've made a lot of forex trading mistakes and day trading mistakes in my career and I learn from them everytime no matter how many stupid trade I've made.
Breakout trading is a strategy that you can use for trading gbpusd. Breakout trades can also be used for other currency pairs in forex trading.
I'm not so much of a breakout trader because I also use other strategies in forex. If you want to learn trading then you should consider gbp/usd or the pound dollar for a breakout trade.
I want to share with you not only the outcome of my breakout trade in gbp usd but also how I deal with my stupid trades and tell you ways of dealing with trading losses.
When you are dealing with trading losses or making stupid trades which you wished you did not make, it's hard to overcome it but it's possible.
I have many other gbp usd strategy or gbp usd trading strategy but they aren't breakout trades. Breakout trading for pound dollar (gbp/usd) is profitable if you combine it with the right technical analysis system.
You can use many trading strategy for gbp usd but breakout trading is just one of them. Only once in a while will I perform a breakout trade. Then again, no matter the strategy or technical analysis, there will be trading losses and you will need to deal with trading losses.

Dear Karen, You look very charming if you mad :) About mistakes, yes the biggest problem is you are human, not a Robot. You got feeling emotions. And I know if you trade you need to kick out emotions and feelings as much you can. It will not help you much my dear, if you get mad and frustrate every time you got a OTM. That is a part from the job. A football player also like to make every time a goal, but sometimes the ball go just over! I think it is better to count till 10 and move on. Look at the trade and write down what go wrong. Learn from this and forget the OTM trade! I believe you have all the rights to be very proud at your self. Your weakness in your strategy is not watching your trades, watching your trades allows you to cut your losses, if it doesn't go your way.. I know it is your way of trading and it does eliminate your emotions during the trade, but you are also creating a risk.

I don't get where you're coming from. If you've already set the stop loss, then it's meant to already minimize your risk. I don't use mental stop losses at all.

Ah yes sorry i didn't make myself clear. Basically, I do have a mental stop loss and a set stop loss, but I try not to let it hit my set stop loss. It is there to save me from those huge and fast breakouts. But i normally watch it and manage my losses manually. Do you think this is a wrong strategy?

If you have tested that it works out in the long run then it's fine. But if it's not, then you need to backtest and forward test it. Trading is just not about avoiding losses but to make sure that your wins will always cover up your losses in the long run. When i first started out, I traded with mental stops or without a stop loss and although I achieve high win rate, but it only took 1 bad trade to wipe out everything. Hope this answers your question.
