We ate at FISI tonight. We tried most of the dishes you guys had. We loved it! There's a restaurant across the street that has hearts, tongue, lungs, and lots of crazy things. We're going to eat lunch there before going on the bus to Durres. Thanks for the videos and the recommendations!

Everything looked delicious! The prices are extremely reasonable!!! The lamb dish looked so so so good to me and the snickers pastry! Great video guys! ~Cara 😊

We were surprised at how good the food in Albania was! After a couple of months in the Balkans, we were starting to feel that the food was a bit same same, but Albania was very different and delicious. The desserts in particular were soo amazing and different to what we had encountered in other parts of Europe. Thanks for watching Cara! -Jon

Ok, it's gonna be hard to top the Snickers cake right off the top! Both of those look fantastic, actually. And holy smokes, that "hot chocolate" looks insane! Nice to see a "hearty vegetarian" dish in the mix - are there very many meatless options there? Looks like they've got a pretty strong sweets game there, which we LOVE!
@BucketListTravellers2 жыл бұрын
That snickers cake was AMAZING!😋 We were so surprised by how awesome the desserts were, not expecting that at all. Yes, we thought of you both with the vegetarian option! I know we've told you before that we are largely vegetarian when at home (we are not lying!), but our videos tell a different story! We were pleasantly surprised at how many vegetarian options there were. Stuffed vegetables like bell peppers, vine leaves and eggplant are on the menu at every restaurant, plus more, so there are plenty of options. Vegans might find it a little harder because nearly everything will have cheese in it! We liked that in Albania there were green grocers on pretty much every corner as well, so you could definitely get what you needed if you wanted to cook your own healthy meals. Thanks for watching Stephen & Andie! - Jon

You mentioned Nicaragua- would you see it as a place for someone to put down some “retirement roots” for a fellow traveler?
@BucketListTravellers2 жыл бұрын
Hi Free Radical1! Yes Nicaragua is a very popular destination for retiree expats. We met a number of them when we were there. The weather is great (read always hot!) and the cost of living is very cheap for expats. You could easily survive comfortably on less than US$1000 a month. That said, it helps if you know Spanish, as English is only spoken in the bigger cities with other expats (Granada, Managua and coastal expat mecca San Juan Del Sur). It also helps to get involved in the community, because you might get bored otherwise. You might like this video to get a sense of where to live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3rQkpijrtN9qtE. We recommend having a trip there for a couple of months first to get a sense of whether it is right for you. Feel free to DM us at facebook or instagram if you have any further questions. We'd be happy to help!

@freeradical1 => To hot and is getting very expensive! Every small thing is a challenge in Nicaragua. Cheap is just fruits and vegetables. If you want a bit comfort and standards you have to bring good money with you. Also you have to deal with a lot of Skorpions, Moskitos and ans everywhere, even in high quality Homes... So think very good about and make maybe at least 3 months stay to check before you move there.
