A classic 1870's American log cabin providing the backdrop for some traditional Appalachian fiddle music. The song is Lost Indian.

This's one of the best tunes on fiddle i've ever heard, it tickles something deep in my heart and soothes my soul, i'm from Morocco, North West Africa and i have a hankering for Appalachian and its celtic ancestor music . Greetings ❤!!!

This is one of the best versions of "lost indian" I've heard. Well done. If anyone knows the source for this version, I'd love to give it a listen as well. Maybe our fiddler here came up with this version on his own but it's so different from the Marion Sumner/ Clark Kessinger, the Willie Chapman and the Wade Ward ways of playing it, I suspect there must be some other akin version to justify calling it Lost Indian. Thank you so much!
You played that wonderfully, thank you for your performance.

Sounds like Lost Indian in low calico tuning (GDGB). Not sure the source of this version but check my channel for a version we played (calico A) at a festival but also look on slippery-hill com website under calico tuning. Eck Robertson's is similar to this. THis rocks, btw.
Seems related to Ed Haley's version, in a different key for sure.

Closest version I've found to this is Benny Thomasson kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXubhKh9pbmaoLs I've listened to several versions such as: Eck Robertson, Ed Haley, Kenny Baker trying to find the closet match. Vi Wickam plays it in GDGB which sounds a lot like this version. Personally I like this version the best as it is just the fiddle and foot tapping. I keep coming back to this video and listening to it because as mentioned I like it the best.
