she's right about using pure oil in your hair. I make my own blended oil for my hair. I searched for the purest olive oil i could find and my hair texture changed for the better. My hair now grows with a sheen. The Magnesium in the oil is what my body needed. But i took it even further and changed my diet. And i make sure i get all my vitamins and minerals from food. I didnt know how malnourished my body was, its really aweome to getting my health back! I wish everyone the best on there hair journey! :)

I was told by Ethiopians that they use Ghee. It's been used throughout their history for hair. By the way you have helped me to have better hair health. I don't have any itchy scalp now. I mix together fenugreek, amla, coco butter, shea butter, elm bark, and any oil of one's choice, and I have to say that I whipped this into a hair cream, and I have shine, moisture, thickness and hold. The Amla seems to have also made scattered cry hair on top of my head darker.

Glad you covered oils. There was some craze a few months ago about not using oils. I promptly move on from that nonsense. My hair would break quickly without applying oil to my hair. I use a cold pressed black castor oil. I found it too heavy for scalp. In order to get some of that nourishment on my scalp I mix 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp vitamin E and 1 tbsp black castor oil. I apply it to my edges an crown especially. Because my hair has been growing slower in these areas. I have seen some progress in those areas. I have also stopped waiting til my hair was almost dry. I agree with Curly every other day is a good rule of thumb to follow. I also found a recipe for a great leave in. Only 4 ingredients. My 4c hair loves it! Thanks CP💅🏾✌🏾P.S. I make ghee for cooking. It smells like butter. So, I will just ingest. 😊

Can you do a video going more into the properties of different oils and oil in general? I ask this because I literally just went on someone's channel where she had a whole video on why no one should use coconut oil ever on their hair. In the comments you should have seen the level of debate. People were like it depends on your poorosity. Others were like coconut oil should never be used on any part of the body ever. Others were like oh well it's a problem when you don't use it as a sealant. Other people were like oh oils don't hydrate at all, they are strictly sealants. So you can see how the topic is still so divided on types of oils and oil in general and its uses on hair. Thanks for another great video!

Hi sis, congrats on the pregnancy! Just an FYI: in reviewing the olive oils in the Morrison isle you stated (at 3:59) that the light bottle of filipo berio was 'more nutrient dense'. This is actually not correct as that specific bottle of felipio berio is a mix of highly refined olive oil and virgin oil. The less refined = more nutrient dense.

(I AM Readying myself to mix in simple ingredients into my deep conditioner mix.🎉) fyi I love using the liquid (tea bags for the win) instead of the paste process. I find it So hard to get those smaller bits off my hair strands. Ugh. So I make the liquid instead. I put it in to my shampoo and in to my conditioner ; and into my deep conditioner. Not a fan of DIY leave in conditioners with out washing it out. I rather leave in the oils and butters. 😊 happy healthy scalp and hair journey 😊 💕stay well 💕

Hi Queen CP, before applying the oils for all daily nourishing purposes should we mist our hair first follow by applying the oils or go straight in with applying the oils to the scalp and ends for hydration?

I have been wanting to try ghee on my hair for a while. On my journey to find natural products, years ago, I heard about ghee mixed with herbs for hair use. We were already eating it, so why not try it

I just decided a couple weeks ago (before I watched this) to follow your OG hair routine and then in this one you say it was overkill. Too late! I’m already committed😂

So interested in seeing a video with how you use ghee for skin and hair. Can you recommend a routine with herbs and natural ingredients that won’t affect/change your hair color?

Question for you....I realize that avocado oil isn't generally considered budget friendly, but is it considered a suitable or better option over olive oil? What does your research dictate about using it in the scalp for massages compared to olive, castor or ghee?

I’ve found mixing avocado and olive oil to be superb for my hair. I’m about to do a hot oil treatment tonight using them both.

How should we incorporate oiling if we are physically active? Should we apply it to an oily scalp before washing or should it be applied to a clean scalp?
