Finally a nice buck gives me an opportunity to take him.

Wow - how can you shoot so well with open sights? Really impressive 😀 It was kind of hilarious to hear the phone ringing when you shot the buck 😁 And your wife asking where it is and looking for it from the house - so sweet ❤ You guys are terrific!

For most of my life I had very good vision, but unfortunately I did not take advantage of it as I should. I put scopes on practically everything! But now as I get older, and the sights get harder to see, I want to use iron sights all the time. Which of course is not practical. But I practice, practice, practice and then practice some more. I am developing cataracts and it gets harder and harder to see those sights. I am going this week to see about getting them taken care of. And I am blessed to have one of the best wives a man could ever have. I Love her so much. If you have the time and are the least bit interested watch the video entitled “Cougar” and then “Our Downs Syndromes Story”. You will get to us a little. I can’t express to you how much I appreciate your comments. THEY MAKE MY DAY. Perhaps one day we can meet face to face. Take care Dennis

Awesome. Congratulations on your fine buck. Glad to see you are feeling much better. We were hit with the bug earlier this year. Who knows what it was, sounds just like the Scaryaint… lol 😆 That’s a piercing ring on the wife’s ringtone. That will get your attention …lol Glad to see and hear from your soul mate. You are truly a blessed man. 60 yrs and counting. I’d be lost without mine. Like you we live on our farm and hunt it as landowners. We too have to check them in electronically. Congrats on your deer again as they are scarce around these parts. I didn’t have any luck this year, but it was a great season none the less. God bless you two and take care. As always look forward to your videos with that great background music. :))

Congratulations on a good eaten buck! My husband & I just found your channel & are really enjoying your videos. We live in western Kentucky & also hunt our land. Have you had any CWD cases there? It's nice seeing your wife involved in your videos too. Glad your feeling better! Take care.
@dennispritchardoutdoors78822 жыл бұрын
I am glad you enjoy them. And no, we have not had any CWD cases. The Blue Tongue hit us hard a few years ago, and we have not recovered yet. My 80 year old wife of 60 years is the love of my life. If you will watch the series of videos on Utah you will see plenty of her. She is awesome. And thank you so much for your comments. Take care. And good hunting.

Can you tell me how long that shot was? Also how much powder. I'm assuming a .49 round ball.
@dennispritchardoutdoors78822 жыл бұрын
Much longer than I would normally take, but I had an accurate rifle, a perfect rest, and he was motionless. Distance was not measured but was 100+ yards no doubt. And yes it was a .490 round ball by Hornady.
