Bessie Nipper was there when her people were handed the title deeds to Uluru in 1985.
Now, she's marking one year since visitors were banned from climbing up the sacred site.
“I was happy when the climb was closed,” Ms Nipper says. “The fact that they’ve stopped the climb, we’re all happy about that.”
