This floating market is the most popular for tourists .... that's why it's not so crowded during pandamic. For locals, there are so many floating markets throughout the country .... even in Bangkok, there are 4-5 markets where we can visit for good foods and shopping. The popular one in Bangkok are KlongLatmayom and KwanRiam.

Chris,if you are not provided with a spoon ,you should drink the soup from the bowl.It will taste better ,believe me.I am from Malaysia and I use to do that .If any noodles soup if they don't give you a spoon.But here in Malaysia the hawker ,they gave you a spoon.

Chris, those are rice noodles and everything in that soup is probably gluten free except for perhaps soy sauce in the broth or pork, and the rice dish is also gluten free. A lot of Asian food is gluten free and when it is you should mention it. The flower they probably dyed it blue with is called a butterfly pea flower. You should be very careful eating at places like this where everyone passes the sauces around and the cooks in the boats probably wash their hands in the water or not at all, be very careful not to get sick.

The floating houses around the river they don’t have a good sewer system , so river is their toilets, you are right they wash their hands and dishes on river . Once upon time I had been lived on the floating house for several years.

When we were kids in the 80s the floating market was the best, we shopped at the marker always getting boat noodles, but I sort of feel like it is still a tourist area but thai people love going out, so it is an internal tourist thing.

This market is not in Bangkok. But it's in Ratchaburi province. Approximately 115 kilometers from Bangkok and have to go through the other 2 provinces adjacent to Bangkok Must be called the floating market near Bangkok.🙂🙂🙏🙏

It is called pea butterfly flowers and they use them to make a tea, it is also the secret ingredient in blue ramen broth you may have seen in other videos. You can buy it on the internet. Chris should get a bag in Thailand to bring home and impress his friends at home with blue ramen, it's probably under 1 US dollar there for a bag that would be 20 US dollars on Amazon.

The green colour on sticky rice is from "Pandanas" not banana leaves. And the way she cooked the rice noodles was not that nice. The noodles should not be stick together like that, especially when it freshly cooked. Glad to see you enjoyed the place.

Me and my friends got scammed there 2 days ago we got a taxi from Bangkok took us to some random stop out of that mart tried to get 3000 baht per person to go on boat , we walked off so they dropped it to 1000 baht each , stuck in middle of no where so did it but see they didn't take us to the town bit and boat driver wouldn't let us off there , so yeah tell the ppl to watch those taxi scams totally ruined our day

As a Thai I'm very sorry for that situation:( and this is the TIP when you want to go around and avoid the scammer! You can go out Bangkok with the transportation like van, bus etc. Or around Bangkok with train, bus or Grab (application same as Uber) I hope you have a save trip and enjoy! Khob Khun krub
