Henbane isnt something you wanna really consume, but taken through the skin, it can be useful. I have actually consumed this plant among other alike ones such as datura, belladona, brugmansia, and horse nettle and all of them felt similar in effects, they induced hallucinations, CNS depression, delirium, and not so pleasant effects, i find them spiritual in a way, but dangerous for sure. Also, nice san pedro, looks great, i got a baby right now and cant wait to watch it grow over the years.

I chose this plant to write about for my term paper in botany. Although the paper is on exotic and invasive species (I’m in the US and it is for us.) Never had heard of it before, but when I was doing a quick research of plants, it had me at psychedelic and witches! My second choice was chicory, ha! This one is way more fun! Thanks for your video- you will be cited in my paper! Cheers!

Which of the witches' nightshade herbs would contain the highest concentration of these alkaloids?
@thumphreybrogart4108
@thumphreybrogart4108 2 жыл бұрын
By my understanding, I'm not an expert I just researched a little bit in my free time because I'm interested in it. But in descending order or tropane concentration I believe it goes Belladonna, Datura, Mandrake, Henbane. I believe Belladonna also has the highest concentration of atropine in relation to the other alkaloids... So be careful with that

Atropa Belladonna is the strongest of them all, right?
@ivywoodIreland
@ivywoodIreland 5 жыл бұрын
Hi BigHunTraps, thanks for your question. Psychotropic plants effect us all in different ways, as our metabolisms etc etc are all individual. So Belladonna may not necessarily be the most potent.. extraction method/ method of ingestion and dosage would all be factors too :)
@divisejohnson1951
@divisejohnson1951 4 жыл бұрын
Ivywood Of course, dosage is always a factor obviously, I meant the quantity of alkaloids gram per gram and such, which of the witches’ herbs are the most deadly - I heard Belladonna and Baetica are the most potent with the most alkaloids!

You are saying how dangerous it is to sniff while you are sniffing it? what's that about?
@ivywoodIreland
@ivywoodIreland 8 жыл бұрын
For the general public I would not recommend sniffing or touching the plant too much as you can indeed inhale and absorb in the phytochemicals of the plant via the breath and the skin. I am a qualified naturopath, herbalist and grower who is very familiar with all the plants we grow and use in clinic and therefor have enough experience to confidently handle the plant :)
