oh, this is so interesting, cause it's actually also a chemistry lesson. the reason it works is that the mash has solids and oil, and the solids can absorb the water but oil cannot mix with water, so the addition of water drives the oil out. this is how certain chemicals are purified when they're made; they're made in a polar solvent like water, and are removed with a nonpolar solvent like oil, or vice versa.

There's no "chemicals" in the peanut oil you buy at the store. It is made essentially this same way just with machines doing the labor.
@the_newt_nest3 ай бұрын
@@OrbObserver I guess there won't be any added stabilizers. What's really good is that the oil is perfectly fresh. Peanut oil you get at the store has been sitting around for weeks and months. I wonder how different it tastes.

Wow! This completely captured my attention. I never knew that you could get so much oil from processing the peanuts like that! Is that what you would call coldpress??? Thank you for sharing your knowledge and hard work!!! May you be richly blessed. 🙏🏾💕
@abellabv4 ай бұрын
Cold press simply means no heat. Here that would mean after extracting the oil, put in a see-through container, cover it with a clean cloth or cling film so nothing goes in, and let it rest for no less than 20 hours. The container shouldn't be shaken. The oil and water will separate. You can use a syringe to carefully extract your purest cold pressed groundnut oil with its fullest nutritive value.
