That why , I like TWC it teaches you to have an advantage over your opponent . You don't need big muscles to beat your opponent instead use his strength against him .

Can I ask an honest question? If someone gets to my blind side why can’t I just turn and face them?
@traditionalwingchunkungfu6098
@traditionalwingchunkungfu6098 Жыл бұрын
If they have you trapped or pinned on your blind side successfully, they will be in control of your leading elbow or have your arms crossed pulling your weight off balance (attacking your balance) so your ability to manoeuvre is greatly reduced sometimes completely nullified. At the same time as you struggle to regain your balance he/she is simultaneously striking the vulnerable targets now stabilised and available. If however they’ve failed to control you on the blind side and you still have control of your balance, your opponent will only have a split second to strike for an open target before you can simply turn and face them getting out of that position.

Really bro U really think this going to work. Blind side. U been had. Out of 365 joints of the human body your so called teacher has not shown U how to do one. What U Think not real then go have a roll with the internal guys from Adelaide U will then be asking for your money back

The deficiency of this system is that it doesn't put a top priority focus on developing the skill to fight square and head-on should your opponent be too cognitive and skillful enough to prevent you from overtaking him from the blind side.

This system has many techniques to fight square and head-on. GM Cheung's approach is easy for novices to grasp. Do the research or take a class before you pass judgment.

@@suum52 I've done the comparitive research. I've practiced Cheung's TWC and VT under Philip Bayer. Cheung's camp doesn't have skills that PBVT does.

@@akaalisbenjamin2093 That's interesting, what is it that the two lineages differ the most in your opinion? I see that Cheung moves around a lot, while the WSL lineage prefers a different positioning. What skills does the WSL lineage have that the Cheung's doesn't?
@akaalisbenjamin2093
@akaalisbenjamin2093 9 ай бұрын
@@aureumsilentium6518 The only difference is their approach to using essentially the same system. WSL linage off the bat will always chose to dominate and pierce the centerline of their opponent in order to reach their center of mass. While the Cheung lineage will only fight to dominate the centerline if they are unable to get a successful blindside attack. Essentially making the WSL the preferred lineage in bathroom stalls or "phone booth" situations. So it's essentially better at being direct in close quarter situations. Despite that the Cheung lineage is not without it's merits. It's equal 50-50 balance distribution enables them to have better defensive and evasive foot work. Especially against long range kicks characteristically thrown by martial artists of the Taekwondo and Muay Thai styles. I would consider the Cheung system more a of a long-bridge Wing Chun and because they're more of a long bridge variation I'd say they have better-placed defensive and dissolving blocks against hooks and crosses thrown by boxers. The perfectly matched and ideal situation where the Cheung systems benefits its user is against threats and opponents who mindlessly and thoughtlessly charge forward with 100% of their momentum and weight like a running linebacker, where you'd then easily step to the side and watch the threat pass in-front giving you that one frozen moment in time to an exposed diaphragm to do your worst... kidney damage, liver failure etc. However if the opponent is a skilled martial artist veteran whom is too experienced to let themselves get caught from the blindside(let alone would charge forward like a foot ball player) then that's where you might have to use a little more of the WSL philosophy. It's perfectly fine to practice either lineage on its own, but it would be even greater to practice and acquire the essence of both lineages. If you can manage to, you'll be able to use either one seamlessly in and through-out one another with no discernable difference, since it's basically the same system.... !!!!

I like the way Si-Fu Dom truly explains the technique , he break it down the way a true Si-Fu should be doing . I'm in Level Seven but couldn't practice because of my left foot infection and having a hard time trusting any Doctors ( Podiatry , PCP ) . I'm hoping later to get back to practice my Skills .
