TRAFFIC RULES IN GOA | USEFUL INFORMATION FOR TOURIST | NEED TO KNOW BEFORE RENTING A BIKE & CAR GOA

My personal experience - Today was my last day in goa, I had visited there with my other 3 frnds. I had researched everything about goa traffic rules in advance, so we all had our licence, wearing helmets, none of us drink alcohol, we were genuine tourists. Still Goa police stopped us around 3 to 4 times in 2 days just by seeing our yellow number plate(hired scooty). They took away our licence, forced us to pay money to their personal pockets and we had to give bcz we needed our licences back. Police shouted at us for no reason. We kept asking about what is our fault tell us but they had no point bcz we were not wrong in any way. All other vehicles even those without helmets crossed in front of us but weren't stopped, they were locals with white number plates. This is pure harassment. Goa police ruined our trip. We cancelled going to other beaches and just headed back to the airport. I will never want to go back to goa. If goa police keeps harassing people like this, tourism will suffer.

Hello brother, no offense to what details shared by Francis (step to travel), all the details shared by him are up to date and helped alot for the tourist like us to travel to Goa. The charges that he shared might be for the time that he shared the comment but would like to share my personal experience as I was fined 2000 to cross Atal bridge on 2 wheeler as I was not aware about it. This fine was charged on 7th Nov'22. My bad luck that I didn't watch this video prior my visit but due to that reason I was fined 2000rs.

Mai kuch dino pahle Goa trip ka plan bna rha tha toh maine KZbin par Goa trip se related videos dekhe. It was shocking that there are a huge number of sammers, rental bike scam, hotel scam, coupen scam, tourist plan scam, drinks scam, traffic police ka scam aur na Jane kya kya. Also local police and residents behaviour is so rude and currupted. Ye sab dekhkar Bhai Maine to plan drop kar diya. Dekho Bhai aap ho Goa ke local resident. Aap waha ke logo ko support toh karoge hi, isme koi Shak nahi hai. Magar Bhai Tourist log kuch hi din ke liye waha apni vacation manane Jate hai, na ki koi crime mystery suljhaane ya kisi problem me fasne. Jo aap hame samjha rhe ho ye aab common sense ki baate h ki "aap iss baat ka dhyan rakhna, photo video bna Lena, document pure rakhna etc." aur traffic law pure india me same hai bhai. Bhai suno ye aap bhi achi tarah se jante ho ki Goa me drugs, gaanja aur dusre nashe ke addicted logo me Goa ke local residents sabse jyada h. Yeh mana ki Goa ke rules aur law aap jyada jante ho magar Goa ke logo ko aur Goa sarkar ko yeh samjhna chahiye ki Goa ki main income tourism se hi aati hai. Unhe tourists ke sath kind and respectful behaviour rakhna chahiye. Tourists ki aur se itni complaints kyu aati hai. Unhe sochna chahiye ki tourists se ache se behave kare so that they can serve them better, tabhi goa develop hoga. Nahi toh Bhai ji chal rha hai ye sab iss state ko duba dega. Baki apki guidelines ke liye thank you.

I hired self driven car, and asked for PUC, when I called the owner he said give 500/- to the cop. We ll refund it to you.... Ther the owner refused to refund...... Beware ... Goa police is there only for bribes. Whenever you rent a car /bike plz check documents. The owner will not help you.
