Thanks WaterWalker16! Our history is slowly disappearing and I like to try and keep it alive in video at least.

When I lived in Thunder Bay I drove by that location at least twice a week and never knew anything about this story. As it appears to be a regularly visited location it would be respectful if some kind of post or something could be erected giving an overview of the tragic occurance that happened there. Great story Rob and VERY well presented!

Thanks Ted! I drove by it many times also and didn't even know about it. Unfortunately any marker you put up will be vandalized in this day and age...no respect!

Mint Vidya as usual. That star shaped socket is a common socket for a 4 sided square nut. Usually for putting together concrete forms and/or assembling pole line hardware using Square Head Machine Bolts with a 1 inch square nut. I bet that's a modern socket, prolly used when they did the forms for that bridge, and/or fastening around the bridge.

8:24 Monkey Wrench. Nice find. They were using 90 lb rail around 1894. Looks about right.

The thing he thought was a large rivet laying next to it is most likely the top half of a knuckle pin. I find pieces identical to that all over over the place.

@@hafetysazard Knuckle pin, yeah make sense. There was several variations on couplers back then. Could have been similar to a king pin.

Thanks Guys! I also noticed through photos that the long pc of iron that I thought was a car connector, could actually be the drive bar that went from the Engine to drive the wheels.
