Tragic ESPN Report Details The DISTURBING THREATS That Colorado State Henry Blackburn Is Recieving

Colorado State's Henry Blackburn receiving death threats after 'dirty' hit on Colorado's Travis Hunter: report
Head coach Deion Sanders says Hunter to be out several weeks after hit caused injury
#colorado #henryblackburn #travishunter #deionsanders #shedeursanders #espn #shannonsharpe #coloradofootball #buffaloes #stephenasmith #skipbayless
Colorado State senior safety Henry Blackburn has reportedly been receiving death threats that university police and local authorities have been looking into following his hit on University of Colorado star Travis Hunter during their game on Saturday, Rams’ athletic director Joe Parker told ESPN.
Blackburn was called for an illegal hit on Hunter in the first half of Colorado State’s overtime loss to the Buffaloes that caused an undisclosed injury to the two-way star. Despite referees throwing a flag for unnecessary roughness, Blackburn wasn’t ejected from the game.
The hit has been widely critiqued as a dirty play, and threats toward Blackburn started coming in before the game even ended, Parker said.
Henry Blackburn hits Travis Hunter
Colorado's Travis Hunter gets hit by Colorado State's Henry Blackburn in the first quarter during the Rocky Mountain Showdown at Folsom Field on September 16, 2023. Hunter was injured on the play but returned to the game.
Blackburn’s cellphone number, as well as his mother’s, were leaked on the internet, leading to many calls and texts. His campus address and family’s home address were also published.
"We’re very concerned about our player’s safety as Henry and his family have continued to receive these threats," Parker said. "Henry never intended to put anyone in harm’s way on the football field. It’s not what we teach or coach. We hope that the irrational vitriol directed at Henry stops immediately."
DEION SANDERS SHRUGS OFF COLORADO STATE TRASH TALK AFTER WIN: ‘I’M ON TO BIGGER THINGS'
Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell added on Monday during a news conference: "It’s just sad. It’s sad that that’s the state of the world we live in. It’s a football game. Let’s not make it more than that. We don’t want anybody to get hurt. We don’t coach that kind of football."
Norvell considered Blackburn’s hit a "bang-bang play." Video replay that circulated online showed Hunter take a couple of steps after the ball hit the turf prior to Blackburn ramming his shoulder into his chest.
"It’s a play that happens sometimes," Norvell said. "That’s certainly not something that we teach or coach. It happens in football sometimes."

Hunter was taken to a hospital in Boulder. Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders said that he would be out multiple weeks following evaluation of his injury. Some reports state that Hunter is dealing with a lacerated liver, though it has not been confirmed by the team.
The Buffaloes were able to overcome a deficit in the second half with one of their stars out of the game as Shedeur Sanders led a comeback that needed two overtime periods to settle for a 43-35 victory. Sanders finished with 348 passing yards with four touchdowns and one interception.
Hunter had two receptions for 21 yards while making one tackle on defense prior to his injury.

We need to see proof of death threats. I think this is used to make Blackburn look like the victim. One thing I noticed was the hand slap to his teammates after the dirty hit was done. It’s unfortunate but NCAA needs to make an example.

Jay Norvell is nauseating to listen to! He takes lying to a whole new level! According to Norvell, "he doesn't want anyone to get hurt" when it's about his players but had no problem putting bounties on Travis and Shedeur and watching the cheapshot on Travis Hunter. Another lesson he was taught by his mother, no doubt! Norvell was directly responsible for CSU's loss when he chose to have his team play dirty. It's unfortunate about the death threats but when you choose to be a dirty player, be ready for all of the ramifications that comes with that choice.........whether it's right or wrong!

I agree, after what I watched from the CSU v CU game. Jay should not be a head coach, he absolutely cost CSU this game and clearly didn't have his players in the right mind set. The NCAAF needs to fully investigate Jay and his coaching staff cause to me an this is just what I think. Jay clearly put bounties on Sanders and Hunter and I will not be convinced otherwise. I know what I saw on Saturday night. I was rooting for Colorado but if CSU played a cleaner game, they beat CU by multiple TD'S.

If you don't think that their coach condoned this or taught it, go back and look at the tape. Shilo's pick 6, he got shoved into the goalposts after being 5 yards deep in the endzone. Not 1 yard, Not 3 yards, not 4, he was 5 yards into the touchdown area and still got shoved. That was the first 15 yards penalty. The cheap shot on Hunter was totally uncalled for. That would've been a penalty in the 80s and 90s when wrs didn't have special protections. Espn had a segment every week called "jacked up" We celebrated big time hits. I grew up during the footsteps Era, when certain plays weren't run against certain teams. In fact, if this would've been an over the middle bang bang collision, I think people would be less upset. The fact he hit him well after the ball hit the ground and the play was over is the problem. He knew what he was doing. The team knew what they were doing. He fkd around and now he's finding out. If I had done that, my coach would've benched me for the rest of the game at least and he was sheisty coach.

Instead he got dabs from his friends and his coach just shrugged it off with a term 'it happens'. This is after bitching about how penalty calls which were clearly warranted were according to him unfairly leveled on his players. They are literally asking for this then acting like victims. He hit Travis when they were both out of bounds and Travis did not have the ball, then he taunted. However, if the NCAA, coach or school would have at least admitted that the hit was dirty and taken some accountability, I would bet that there would not have been any threats. I loved this post. Also the NCAA need to look at players getting into the end zone and players hitting them. The push Holt put on Shiloh Sanders after the interception. If he had of hit the goal post that would have been a disaster.

We heard it was a broken rib just after the game. The next day it was reported as Travis Hunter sustained a lacerated liver. Now we are talking casually about a real death threat coming, not from the student body, but instead directly from the medical assessment team at the hospital. That kid Blackburn showed zero remorse. How do we know? Because we saw him strutting after the illegal hit. He did it again and got thrown out of the game for targeting. He should be banned from playing college sports and charged criminally, and the coach, Jay Norvell, investigated to find out if he put his kids up to it and also charged criminally. It's likely a given he did, since he too failed to express any empathy for Travis, and sent public relations guy Parker out in front to speak to the media and provide cover for the school of his involvement..
