This is one of my favourite Ren songs. It's so sad but so beautiful, and the guitar bit in the middle is amazing. Great reaction 👏👏👏

I as well claim this song as one of my favorites from Ren and I must admit that Diazepam was a lifesaver a couple times when I was losing my mind, climbing the walls but as we all know once the vacation is over the devil is waiting for you to pay up with interest. Glad those days are long behind me.

Thanks for sharing! I had it (Xanax) prescribed after my second daughter was born when I had severe anxiety and panic attacks... until my antidepressants "kicked in". No doctor asked me what my diet was like, what stresses I was going through (I had a 3 year old and a newborn)... and then I was stuck on those antidepressants for 10 years because they're nearly impossible to get off of! Thankfully I weaned myself off about 11 years ago... and what do you know, my high liver enzymes went back to normal. 🙄🤦♀️ I'm so happy to hear you've been successful! You'll feel so much better as time goes on! Bravo! And I'm a "Canuck" too... now living in Texas! 👋

Ren talks about how much of an influence John Frusciante is on his music. This song really shows that off. Both the intro riff and the solo are so Frusciantesque.

I will say, that this mother, grandmother, soon to be great granny would love to have some Valium, even just half a pill right now. Life doesn't get better with age, with aches and pains. Panic attacks, stress. I use other crutches to get through the days, available at any grocery store. But they are just for minute to minute stress, so not much help in the long run.

Well said! I feel that a lot as well, being a stay at home/work at home mum to 3 home schooled kids! But my liver took a beating for 10 years stuck on antidepressants, so I try to be as gentle to it as possible 😄😉 Thankfully I was able to wean myself off 11 years ago.

Creative deploy did most of his lyric videos. He over sees and likely tells the company exactly what he wants through the process, but no he doesn't do the graphic designs on these videos. He has so much on his plate already, so he looked for some help on this. He will have to start delegating some of his load to other professionals since his fans want to see some more content and want him to get and stay healthy. I have all his albums and have worn them out over the last yr. Great reaction. Never been on those types of meds but I feel like I know how they would feel after watching his videos. I always assumed that it was similar to getting super stoned on some couch lock strain. That I know about. 😛 I couldn't function on that and couldn't imagine functioning on valium.

Thanks for that info! 😊👍 I was given Xanax after the birth of my 2nd baby when I had severe anxiety and panic attacks. It was hormonal... but no doctor ever tried to actually help... just wrote me a script for meds. I only took it for a little while... but I had to wean off in order to avoid withdrawals. Then I was stuck on antidepressants for over 10 years because they're nearly impossible to get off. I've been med free for 11 years now tho! I could have avoided all of it if any doctor gave a crap and tried to find out why it was happening to me.

Diazepam is such a weird mess. It's so powerful yet so dangerous. I have it with me and use it as needed, I'm paranoid, careful when I use it, I even mark the day and dose so I don't forget. It's perfect in those types of moments where you can't get grip on yourself and your surroundings, where you can hurt yourself by doing stupid things, I almost ran once out of a moving car in my fight and flight state, so in those moments it is perfect, but everyday use is a big no no, luckily I haven't used it now for 2 months, if I need something to calm myself down I drink some lemon balm tea it feels like really mild valium

@@maxmoore9955 Yes 🤣😉 But he has a reaction channel called CavemanParadigm. He makes fun of himself a lot about how he misses things in the songs because he's a caveman. Hi again, please forgive me if I'm being a bit silly, but I was hoping that you hadn't forgotten to take a look at that Australian singer/songwriter, Tash Sultana, I told you about a couple of weeks or so ago. If it's somewhere in a list and you're going to get to it eventually, please excuse me, but I genuinely believe that you will, 100%, love her and the song. As a reminder, just search "Tash Sultana - Jungle (LIVE BEDROOM RECORDING)" and it will take you straight to the correct version of the song. Btw, I'm still loving all your reactions and the breakdowns you do on occasion, so please keep up the great work. Much love from Scotland. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

When people get stuck on diazepam or morphine a lot of the time it’s because of doctors just giving quick prescriptions, balancing the numbers
@MrsRealistic Жыл бұрын
Yup, very true. They don't care about the actual cause or cure.

Ren's view is a little more balanced, recognising both the good and the bad of such drugs. Recognising that they're beneficial to millions of people around the World. It's too easy and simplistic to just be one of the sheep bleating 'big pharma'!
@MrsRealistic Жыл бұрын
Yes, I've used Xanax before. It was prescribed to me after the birth of my second daughter and I had severe post partum anxiety and panic attacks... until my antidepressants "kicked in". No doctor bothered to try to help me get to the root cause, (which I realize now was hormonal) But I was stuck on antidepressants for over 10 years because they're nearly impossible to get off of. I've been med free for 11 years now. I still get "head zaps" if I'm really tired... so that's a permanent side effect that I get to deal with. It left me with a tumor on my liver and 61 staples in my abdomen after surgery. So I'm a little biased and a tad bitter about "big pharma". Benzos are a short term band aid. They can help occasionally, but if you get addicted due to long term every day use, then they're hell to get free from.
@hazmania Жыл бұрын
I think it (diazepam/valium) is only helpful if you have a therapist that can help you, while you’re in that diazepam bubble, face the cause of your anxiety/depression/mental or emotional pain, and hopefully deal with it, or at least recognise & face what it really is that’s causing it. ‘Cos you can’t hide in the bubble and think it’ll all be ok, it won’t be, not until the problem/pain/trauma is truly dealt with, & hopefully healed. Diazepam can sometimes help get you there, but only with help. It’s not a “band aid”, but often it’s prescribed as one. Truly good therapists, that see through the fronts we put on, the masks we wear, are unfortunately few & far between, but they are there and they can help, sometimes medication helps, but rarely long term. Love from Annie, in Cornwall, UK🙂🌸
