Had gotten my left one done for my 18th bday. The guy was super nice/informative, barely even felt it (actually asked him when he was gonna do the stick but he was fitting in the hoop in by then lol), and only took about 2.5 months to heal. H20 spray and witch hazel worked wonders!

I got my done about a week ago. The lady did NOT warn me. I'm used to my piercer saying "on the count of 3, now breathe in" blah blah blah, but this lady just went BAM. so I don't know if that's what made it hurt worse, but it sucked.

He was right about the hoop. I had so much trouble and it eventually ripped out. I had it redone a second time with a stud and have had much results. It's been almost a year.

Hi. I'm one day in with my new Tragus piercing. It looks off centered to me. Also I have a hoop. I was not told that the stud was more appropriate for a Tragus piercing. I'm wondering if I should let the swelling go down before I go back in to have my concerns 😟addressed. Hmm.... Yours looks perfect and very pretty on you.

Is it normal for it to bleed at the beginning? I got mine pierced just under a week ago and keep waking up to dried blood around it even though I sleep on the other side :/

Yes, I would say not to worry it’s normal it’s part of the healing process ☺️ My piercing had room on the back of the tragus bar of the earring for the very same purpose. And the scabbing build up was on the back of the jewelry bar.

Chamomile lotion will help with the drying. Or soaking your ear in brewed green tea (no additives of course). ETA: Off topic, but if you have nipple piercings, the tiniest amount of CeraVe lotion can be put on the skin. Just do your best to avoid getting it directly inside the holes.

i got mine pierced last week and now my earlobe is kinda scabbing at the bottom & it stings but the piercing itself doesn’t . Is that normal ?

NEVER use a q tip to clean your ears ever. You were very lucky your piercing didn’t get infected. Actually never use any coton based tool to clean your piercing because a little part of the coton can get stuck in your piercing and create an infection. The proper way to clean your piercing is with a neutral PH soap, then physiological liquid and finally take a sterilized compress with an antiseptic liquid. I have 5 ear piercings that I have all cleaned this way and I never got an infection. So please do it the proper way and never listen to the recommendations of someone who is not an expert. The cleaning process I described has been taught to me by my piercer.

Cleansing with a q tip isn’t always bad. Especially if you’re a crusty gal like myself. I was on the verge of getting an infection if I had t started using the q tip to remove the crust properly. My piercing was very mad and once I started doing according to my piercer suggestion then it healed perfectly fine. Like most piercings just make sure that there isn’t any lint fibers or hair on the piercing and you should be totally great. Q tip cleaning saved my piercings and now I’m piercings in and only clean with q tips. No issues yet!!

That is such a great question! Yes. I wore my hair up a lot and styled it in ways where it wasn’t touching the pierced area. And as far as washing showering etc. I had to make sure product didn’t get to the area! I did this until it was healed. Hope this helps!

Can one wear earphones /headphones when tragus piercing is completely healed or will it cause discomfort even after healing?

You definitely can! I highly recommend for the earphones/headphones to be cleaned beforehand just so that it’ll reduce the chance of the piercing getting infected. Because even after the area has healed , it can still get easily infected. I hope this helps ☺️

Mine didn’t swell I had a lot of scab on the bar of the tragus jewelry bar the first couple of weeks. But I would suggest to contact your piercer ASAP just in case and they can tell you if it’s normal or what’s the next step to take 💕
