I'm colorblind and a girl. I found out I was colorblind when I failed a math test in first grade where you had to count the amount of each colored balloons :/ so yeah, sometimes it gets complicated

Nicole Lacy I know, people usually don’t believe me at first since for a girl to be colorblind, both her parents have to pass on the gene, while for boys, only the mother, I believe, has to pass it on. That’s why it’s less common :)

Just to clear things up for the colorblind glasses, they don't actually give people the full spectrum of colors, it darkens certain colors because their eyes phisically cannot see certain colors. In the example used in this video I believe it's red green color blind (I'm not 100% sure)

I have a friend who is monochromatic colorblind, meaning she sees everything in grey scale. No colors at all. Yet she is a really good artist. She always brings a dry erase marker and sometimes “doodles” on her desk. IVE LITERALLY SEEN HER DO SHADING WITH A DRY ERASE MARKER LIKE HOW?! Anyways shes really good and once i asked her to draw a hippo and she drew what she called hippopoptomous prime. It was a very large, buff hippo with a humanoid form, and it was so funny I kept it lol

I know a guy, he isn’t “color blind”. He’s color deficient. He can tell and notice colors but if a color is similar to another he has to double check. There are countless times where he asked me to grab him a brown color pencil because he couldn’t tell that brown was brown. Same with pink and red.

@@grimthedeathlord8998not exactly, if it's the same as my issue, color deficiency is where you can still differentiate all the colors under the proper names as usual, it's just the shades of the colors get harder to identify. Especially when the more the shade is closer to the midpoint of two colors. So for example magenta, pink and red are easily distinguishable for normal vision, color deficiency is where you can't see as many shades of each or some specific colors, so magenta wouldn't look as "magenta" as it is supposed to, and would either look closer to just red or pink. It's like colors are just muted, the world looks the same for normal vision, just less vivid if that makes sense

Not possible, red is a specific wavelength, green is a specific wavelength etc. There are some non-spectral colors like magenta but that is just a mix of 2 specific wavelengths. Each person'e eyes recieve the same wavelengths, and each person's color detectors usually detect specific orangish, green, and blue frequencies. Apart from people who have a defective rod or cone gene (colorblind) or with an extra one, we all detect the exact same frequencies of photons reflecting or being emitted from any given object.

Y’know, for me, separating the M&Ms were kinda easy. The yellow, red, and orange one were all slightly different shades of... whatever that color was. But I just didn’t know what color they were originally were, so I was def confused. Great way to expand knowledge of colorblindness Ryan! Just because he couldn’t tell all of them doesn’t mean he’s colorblind. Sure some people, including myself, could tell them all apart, but not everyone with normal color vision can. Some people with normal color vision can see more shades than others. Now, if he got anything besides the oranges and reds mixed up, then your assumption would be decently plausible, but when it’s just oranges and reds, I doubt he’s colorblind, especially since, ya know, he passed the test and could see pretty much everything a person with normal color vision can see.

Hi Ryan! I found out I was colourblind on a test where it was fractions and it was count how many slices are coloured. I got it wrong and my teacher told me to take a colourblind test. Found out I had strong Deutan. A red and green type of colourblindness. Get's so hard sometimes!

I eat Cereal with Water and I pour the Water first How is that hard to believe. The first week: I did one side until I got under a minute for the first few days and learned to solved the next few days and I got to 1:40 before stopping for a while, and only doing like 1 solve like maybe every few days to every few weeks, then 2 months later in the first week of July I went to Yellowstone so during the road trip I was cubing, and got down to 1 minute before I got home, that trip took a week. The experience with solving one side fast help me solve the cube using a 22 minute tutorial in under 45 minutes, then I never went over 3 minutes to solve once I memorized the algorithms, and I quickly got to 1:40 like 1 or 2 days from then. I used Rubik’s brand Later in July I got MoYu rs3 m 2020 and decreased my times to 40s pretty quickly with 4LLL and F2L. For the next month of having a new cube I hardly even practiced, some days I didn’t and most days I practiced it was only like 20 minutes. In the past week Or 2 I have been practicing a lot and learning full PLL, I quickly dropped from 30s to 20s, where I am now. My PB is 19 seconds and I average like 26 seconds
