As a reptile enthusiasts with lots of terrariums I absolutely love this! So nice to see people outside of the hobby making videos about terrariums and geckos. I recommend some leaf litter to make the vivarium look more natural and give the frogs more spots to hide. Thank you for showing off your awesome creation!

I would recommend putting bromeliads in there natural habitats dart frogs breed in bromeliads and the bromeliads look absolutely amazing the frogs lay there eggs inside the plant because in the middle it has a pool of water 👍

Ryan is the one of the only people in the whole community that can make an 11-minute video on an in-home ecosystem that still hooks me so much to the video. When Ryan said that Bobby doesn’t realize how big the word is, I couldn’t stop thinking about how this video is a metaphor for how we don’t realize how big the universe is. Ecosystems are fascinating! I’m so glad you took the time to make one. It was adorable, inspirational, and the filming was cinematic and so engaging! Also, believe it or not, isopods aren't actually insects! They're CRUSTACEANS! Yup, these guys breathe with their gills, which is why they require high moisture! I've kept my own colony of them in the past and they preferred to be hidden so it was always wonderful to see them pop their little heads.

Dart frogs really are incredible creatures. They may be quite small, but they have big hearts and ambition! I love seeing people exploring different things, great job you definitely know what you doing. Also just be careful, frogs (or amphibians) absorb anything through their skin. Meaning if the water is not dechlorinated and they absorb those toxic chemicals, they could get really sick. They can also get really sick if the enclosure is not clean (the isopods will help with that). You seem like you know what you doing though, but just remember if the frogs dry out, they die. On the other hand, lizards are pretty hardy. Good job comrade, and keep fulfilling your dreams❤. Also, the isopods didn't eat the carrot...the reason it smelled like death is because the carrot you tried to feed to them DECOMPOSED rather than be eaten.

I would suggest trying a light that has a cycle. It's recommended to have a predictable light cycle of 12 hours on and 12 hours off, use a heat source at night that doesn't emit bright light, like a black or red bulb, heat mat, or ceramic heat emitter. It allows them to sleep without the bright lights. It also helps the plants as they as need the 12 hour cycles

In high school, we made our own ecosystems in a bottle with plants and isopods and other little decomposer insects. I was the only one who successfully made a terrarium that succeeded and it’s been three years and it is still running. It supplied its own water, and oxygen with the plant, and all that. Honestly you should do that.

I’ve wanted to make an Ecosystem like this for a good while now, I’m definitely going to see this through. It would be such a good learning experience for to see how an ecosystem (even though it was human made) thrives without being interacted with

Remember to do your research! If you intend to include vertebrates or organisms with more complex dietary needs than detritivores (Isopods, springtails) in your ecosystem they will still be dependant on you for food and the plants will need to be watered. Remember you are this worlds care giver and not just its owner!

Hey, I’m not sure if you still have the pale green plant but that’s a dieffenbachia! They like partial or full shade, so you might want some to cover it slightly. The other plant is a pothos, which love almost any kind of light or water Also I’m not sure if you did, but make sure to dim or turn off the light daily, constant direct light can burn plants

I love the message behind this video. When Ryan said at the end that Bobby didn’t know how big the planet is, and that he wishes Bobby knew how important he is, it got be thinking about how God considers each of us to be important enough to care about each and every single one of us, similar to how Ryan cared for all the animals in this video. this is AMAZING ryan! my family keeps and breeds many different species of reptiles (that all have proper care and large bioactive enclosures!) i would recommend arcadia uvb bulbs! they help the plants grow faster and are far safer for you little critters than coil uvb :D good luck!
