Have you guys also considered placing salt blocks in your food plots? Here in Canada we cannot bait wildlife but on our ranch we have cattle and I've seen the white-tail and mule deer all over the salt we put out for the livestock.

+Mountainview Ranch we actually put a salt lick in this food plot and it has worked great! We also have one in another plot, and it is a great way to see how the deer are using you plots! Definitely a great idea!

Will cams trigger when bushes or trees move? if so how do you avoid in thick leafy woods? Thanks.

Yes they certainly will. Typically it is only grassy stuff that will blow enough to trigger the cam, but on really windy days small trees and branches will also trigger them. You will need to trim or stomp down as much grass and small branches as you can to avoid that from happening. Try not to go crazy though because you don’t want to tip the deer off that there is an intruder.

Weekend Woodsmen. Gotcha, so how far will it pick up a moving tree , branch, leaves etc and trigger. Want to take pics of hogs but it's pretty thick. I guess I'm asking how far I should clear in front of cam?

Every cam has a different trigger distance but they will usually say on the box. Typically trigger distance is anywhere from 50-100 feet, but I would say clearing 20-30 feet would be enough because outside that distance it won’t be as sensitive to smaller branches. If you find it taking a lot of blanks still you might want to trim further.
