Luckily, with some preparedness and know-how, a crack in your clutch cover or case doesn't have to mean the end of your adventure. To help prevent this we always wire tie a bit of inner tube to the inside of the brake pedal tip. this absorbs a lot of the initial impact and usually keeps this from happening.

If the puncture is fairly small, you can cut a triangle shaped piece from the inside of your hand grip. Push the pointy edge of the makeshift plug into the hole with a small screwdriver until it's wedged securely. That's it!

2:35 The shelf life in AZ , would be pretty short, but do they tell us the 'use before date' on the product for deserts? So we can replace accordingly and avoid squeezing it, each ride, which partially activates the Hardner whenever we do our checking?

I couldn't find the little metal piece that broke off in my bike either so I just JB welded behold put it back on now sometimes I hear it clunking around should I try to take the cover off again or just hope for the best?

Why is my clutch cover rubbing on my 2016 rmz250 when I kick the bike over with cover tight it rubs and doesnt let the kicker come back up. Please help I'm pulling my hair out with this

Is this a permanent fix? I did the same thing but a shifter to the crank case cover. I just order a new cover. But in the future it seems a lot eaier to do this if it will last.

You can push on the caliper to move the piston in rather than prying off the rotor

Has anyone used gas as a way to clean the oil? Wondering if it leaves a residue

Squid WithGear ..... gas will leave a residue. Acetone is an excellent cleaner, but who’s going to carry that? Lol... The alcohol wipes are a great idea and they work, light and easy to pack. Also will clean your goggles, headlight, mirrors, etc.... ride safe.

Yes, this should just be used as a temporary fix. It will probably last for a long time but you still won't want to push it too far.

It would definitely get you off the trail but once your home I would take it off and use a better 2 part epoxy (JB weld) that takes about 24 hours to cure. Then you would be good until it happens again I bet!
