Best ever trail, never gets old - love the wetlands, wildlife and water, so special.

Totally agree, we certainly wish we didn't live so far away, we would be riding it all the time. But thankful we got to experience it once!😁

I'm watching this in Dec-24, preparing for my road trip up from Boise next summer. I rode the Trail of the Hiawatha this past June, from Avery up to the East Portal and back down. I plan to ride the Trail of the CDA this coming June. I'm going to stay at the CDA casino and then do a day trip from the Plummer trailhead up to the Mullan trailhead, and back.

We stayed at Harrison, Idaho RV park . We did the bike trail in April of 2023

We know exactly where that RV Park is. We actually rode our bikes through the park while we were exploring Harrison during our ride.😁

I live in Spokane, WA and ride the ToCdA regularly. You did a nice job of showing its beauty but you should know the locals pronounce it Core,dah,Lane. Also its called the Snake Pit because of the gnarly tree branches intertwined on the front porch. I drive through the Columbia Gorge regularly and have wondered about the bike trail. Thanks for that video and also for the Olympic Discovery Trail which I have not ridden but based on your video, I have put it on my “to ride” list.

Thanks for the nice comments and the additional local insight. These 3 trails are certainly some of our favorites. Definitely hope you get to ride the ODT soon.

Fantastic! Its on my bucket list too. Trail of the Hiawatha is my number one. Are you going to do the Hiawatha Trail?
@retiredontheroad Жыл бұрын
Hi guys! This trail has been on our list for a while and when we came into the area we found out about the Hiawatha Trail. We were only in the area for a couple of days, so unfortunately we didn't have enough time to do both. Hopefully you will be able to do the Hiawatha and let us know what we missed😁

Great video, thanks for sharing. We are headed out to this trail soon. Do you remember how many total miles you traveled? Do you guys carry a spare battery and what kind of range are you getting?
@retiredontheroad Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. From CDA River RV Park to the Chatcolet bridge was approximately 34 miles. Then back past our campground to the Snake Pit was approximately another 5 miles, so a total of approximately 78 miles for the day. We do carry extra batteries with us, as with pedal assist we get approximately 40-45 miles on a battery on fairly flat terrain. This was such a great ride, definitely hope you get to enjoy it as much as we did!😁

Thanks! We get about 50-60 on our batteries so we won’t be able to go quite as far but the whole ride looked amazing, we can’t wait.
