Trail Running in the Scottish Highlands - June
In this video, we'll explore the beautiful Scottish Highlands by running along the River Dulnain. This running route is perfect for experienced trail runners and is ideal for a summer trail run!
We'll start off with a trip to Nairn Beach, then see if I've recovered from a cold, hear about my recent camera issues and then head out for a 15k run along the River Dulnain & see how low the water is!

That's a great intro, Martin. Well done on the drone footage and clear audio too. I almost ran an ultra in Scotland but alas my schedule couldn't accommodate it. I think it's called the Jedburgh 38. It is nice to see what the Scottish Highlands are like! My Gosh, they're so vast and gorgeous! Here's wishing you a speedy recovery, mate.

Even when the trails get narrow up there, it doesn't look like they're overgrown with nettles and brambles like they are near me. I'm totally jealous. I put my spare gopro battery through the washing machine and tumble dryer a couple of weeks ago. It was in my running shorts pocket, luckily also in the little plastic bag it came packaged in. It miraculously survived!

Cheers Ben, you're going to love the Fling, very varied terrain in parts, and you could do with a recce 😉 After watching lots of videos between the GoPro & Insta, I'm leaning more toward sticking with GoPro tbh 👍

Wow, 3 weeks is a long flu. I find that running helps cure illness. I once passed a kidney stone during a run. I am transitioning to start using my iphone 14 instead of my gopro 9. I will only use gopro for product reviews or race footage. I have friends that only use iphone and I though it was inferior but I was wrong. The iphone is much better in seams especially for short live streams. I bought a gimbal which I will get soon and start using during some runs not races. I like gopro in races since it fits in my pocket in front of vest. Have a great week

Thanks Richard, Passing a kidney stone while running sounds like an experience you won't forget in a hurry! I've tried experimenting with my iPhone 13 but wasn't happy with the stability results, sounds like something was improved with the 14 version? There are so many different ways to record nowadays but I do like the convenience & size of a GoPro. Hope you enjoy the gimbal when you get it Richard 😀

Hey Martin. Great video 😊 to answer your question, I think you would make awesome 360 running videos so I would recommend the x3 for sure. There is another layer of editing though so it depends if you have the patience to do that!

Nuclear Flu yikes!!! I think for runners the Insta 360 makes a lot of sense. The only issue is the poor audio quality (especially in wind). You are the drone master my friend.

Thanks Sage, the GoPro is jumping out at me more than the Insta at the moment, the footage seems to be a higher quality, just less fun features 😀
