If the hub is really stuck you could put 2 bolts through the two holes in the wheel bolt flange, put nuts on the back, drive in the bolts and push the hub out the easy way.

Great help, I carry little chunks of plywood for my Jack stands & soft or uneven soil or pavement. I thought that was an excellent tip about plywood you mentioned, might keep someone from injury, or death on bad base ground Nathan. 👍
@SSemi15 жыл бұрын
just a heads up from anyone looking, if you do the road test by swerving and putting the load on one side, please not this works 90% of the time, but there is an inner bearing on both sides that may make it seem like your left bearing is bad, when in all actuality it is the right side. I would recommend changing them in pairs if you know it hasnt been done in a while. Thought it was my left side but ended up being the right side. glides like a pro and super quiet now

This is what can happen if you rush a job, we have all made simple errors during a rebuild, but when we rush through without checking our work, we end up having to redo a portion when our error prevents the next step. The dust cover is on backwards and basically upside down. The breaks will not mount until the hub is removed and the dust cover re-positioned.

So I have an issue with my 2006 Cadillac DTS. Recently it started going crazy, as I'm driving the ABS, T/C, stability control warnings light up but go away immediately. I tried to pull codes but nothing is stored. Wheel hubs seem to be ok. Any ideas? I can upload a video of what the car is doing. Watching from Chicago.
@FixingWithPassion6 жыл бұрын
Jack the car up....check each wheel...for play...could be a bad wheel bearing with excessive play.
@2enamora26 жыл бұрын
Jacked it up checked for play and nothing. I also unplugged all 4 sensors blew compressed air (computer duster) they were all tight and nothing changed. All this happened after a storm, not sure that has anything to do with it but figured I'd mention. I will be uploading a video tonight of what this is exactly doing hopefully someone can help figure it out before I take it in. Again no codes are stored and lights/warning lights shut off almost immediately. The car feels fine, I also noticed the speedometer goes nuts but thee RPMs don't change. This only happens while moving and at times turning left.
