Trailblazer window won't roll up - How to remove/replace a power window motor

My trailblazer window will not roll up. I show you how I removed the broken window motor and replace it with a new one. First I have to remove the door panel to access the motor. You can still remove the motor even if the window is down in the door. It's tricky, but I was able to get it done with some persistence.

My neighbor just called and asked to help her get her window up. I know a 🤏🏼 bit about cars because of hanging with friends in the garage. Grabbed my flathead, my phone and headed out. Your video was first so I followed along. Thankfully it was the wiring right after we took the button control panel off. But thanks so much for the help! Her husband doesn't get off for a few hours and we live in a bad area. Girl power! 😋

I have a Chevy Trailblazer LS 2005, this SUV was going to be my project, but, the more I fix small minor problems, they become a cluster of major problems! The major problems I bring to the mechanic to fix. I purchased this SUV from an auction as is and I accepted whatever problems that needed fixing, I will fix it! I do my maintenance whenever it's time, but, so far, it's made it for me, a little over 200,000 milestone! I've put in a lot of work into it, just sometimes, I feel I should give up on my project 🤔 I've always was told, scheduled maintenance we keep it going for long-term, take care of your vehicle and it will take care of you 😊

I have a 2005 chevy trailblazer i purchased when u posted this. Its a pos. Seriously. I have had people tell me its the worst designed vehicle of last century. I have had nothing but problems some repetitive like the blower motor. I have installed 5 in 2 years. I tell ya the car is a pos & the replacement parts from china are even worse ! One of the top biggest mistakes ever made in my life was buying this car & im 63. Now my drivers side window is stuck down. I have never had a motor go out on my many cars & trucks in my lifetime until now. What a pos!

My f150 was a pain to do too. I dropped the window motor on my driveway and it started working again so I put it back in and it continued to work. Score! Lol

Thanks for the video! Changing the passenger side window motor on my 2008 TB, except the mounting bolts on mine turned out to have a Torx head!

Hey Jeff I have an 07 Blazer and the 8mm wrench was not working for my motor mounting bolts either! So mine must have the torx head too! So that explains my frustration cause of course you cannot see the damn thing. Please please let me know exactly what size tool you used. 8mm torx?

I decided to go 1 step further and that is to unbolt the 1 bolt at the top of the assembly back and grind the spot-welds and remove assembly al together... Then, Unbolted the 3 8mm bolts... Mind you, one has to hold his/her tongue just right when performing these delicate jobs:):):) Bob

There are 2 cables that goes across two wheels or gears. The one that is closest to the right door handle was sticking up where someone somehow disconnected it to roll my passenger window down and broke into my car, where does it goes so my window will start working again?

probably have to replace the entire regulator unit. its on a cable/pully system
