Oden had 13 pts, 20 reb, and 4 blks the game before his injury at only 21 y/o. He was never a bust. The man was going to be the best center in the league and future HOF. So glad to see him looking healthy and happy. God bless and happy holidays.

The NBA missed out on one of the greatest trios Between Oden and Roy succumbing to injuries. Nothing but respect for them..

One of the greatest ever?
@santiproductions931819 күн бұрын
@@evanhayes5891 yes. Roy was on track to be basically the number 2 SG behind Kobe in that era. LaMarcus was a damn near unguardable lethal post-scorer and Oden was a beast.
@evanhayes589119 күн бұрын
@@santiproductions9318 I think Oden and LaMarcus figure it out. Roy, as it turns out, was a bit immature when it came to others stealing his spotlight. Sure gave the best PG he'd ever played with (Andre Miller) a hard time. I think with winning, the egos could have been kept in check. But I can't hype them, based on how little we know about the on-court chemistry, over a great trio like Pierce/Allen/KG.
@santiproductions931819 күн бұрын
@@evanhayes5891 i mean valid, but that’s the thing with what if’s - we just don’t know. speaking from a pure talent perspective, that Blazers trio could’ve very well made it to that Boston trio level. probably wouldn’t have surpassed the Heat big 3 tho tbf
@JammerAma19 күн бұрын
@evanhayes5891 you got Roy and Aldridge confused. Roy didn't care about sharing the spotlight seeing as his spotlight hadn't even shown yet. Aldridge ran as soon as Dame started showing promise. Love both of them but don't blatantly lie lmao

Lots of love for Greg Oden. Dude was SO good at basketball, and is tragic what happened to him with the injuries and things out of his control. Greg is a good person and am happy for him to have gotten to this place where he is now, looking healthy and kind. Hope the fans give him a standing ovation.

All love from the lifelong Blazer fans here, Greg. Nobody can ever blame you for the injuries. You came here and put your full self into the team. I got to meet you and shake your hand when you played. We are the same age. So proud of you for coming back with your head held high like a man. Any fan who says anything different doesn't love the game and isn't a true fan. Those are the fair weather fans.

If anyone can find the video of his first field goal ever scored in the NBA it was incredible. A tipped offensive rebound to himself and then a deep drop step pivot for a 2 hand JAM against the Miami Heat in Miami. FEROCIOUS.

People want to compare Zion to Oden as one of the biggest busts in modern times. The difference is that Zion has suffered due to lack of effort and discipline. Oden suffered from injuries that were no fault of his own.

When Oden was healthy and clickin’, its hard to describe the feeling it gave me at the time- I felt like we could never lose. He played with such force, it was just so impactful. When he and Roy and LMA were all healthy it was amazing

Oden was the right pick. Think about it; he had the highest potential to be dominant. He showed glimpses of it, and injuries stole it from him. People will lament what could have been with Durant, but don’t forget he left OKC to join a super team with the Warriors. He never won a championship with OKC. Had we drafted Durant we would have missed out on Lillard.

Wonder why it had been so long since he’d been in the building? I’m guessing it’s because it’s emotionally painful for him. No way it was just because “he’s been busy”. He’s always welcome back we know it was all out of his control.

When Odens career began to go south, he blamed the city of Portland and the Blazer organization for turning him into an alcoholic. His just out of the marines cousin was supposed to keep him under control. Instead he took Odens money and partied in ceessantly at the house Oden bought.
