Well Toonami always adds some kind of music that’s not part of the show in their Promos that makes the Promo great. Like they often use Com Truise, Run The Jewels, P Brothers, Chris Devoe, Flying Lotus, Dangermouse aka Pelican City, etc. in their Promos since they do have good taste in music. I think the only time that kind of music appeared on a series Toonami aired is IGPX. So the actual soundtrack for this is still up in the air on what it will be like until it actually airs.

@@CrimsonWolfStudios Exactly. It usually looks terrible despite the fact that CGI should be miles better than the 2000s. The Final Fantasy: Spirits Within has impressive CGI despite being in the early 2000s. I know people hate the movie for some reason (I enjoyed it and it had some of my favourite actors and actresses) but the CGI itself is something we need in videogames nowadays where people actually put on suits in order to control the characters. The fact that CGI in shows and films nowadays look terrible does not make much sense as some are backed by massive companies. Indie companies tend to be doing far better stuff despite less money.

@@joecool9739 The characters in both projects suffer from looking lifelike, but not completely. There's a stiffness to the movements and a "deadness" in their eyes and facial expressions that many people react to uncomfortably at a deep level because they seem "almost human", but not. Like zombies. This is called the "Uncanny Valley". Itost realistic CG games animation movies and even children's films like the horrific "Polar Express" movie or the awful "Beowulf" movie have the same problem.

@@Jubb-eo5vk How old are you that you didnt get to experience FF:TSW as a technical marvel back in 2001?
@Jubb-eo5vk3 жыл бұрын
@@joecool9739 Old enough. I've been working in animation as an artist, director, writer, producer for close to 40 years. FF was ground breaking movie, but in the end the Uncanny Valley and a terrible story made it a 100 million dollar bad zombie movie. It was an immense train wreck. One of the artists who worked at my studio was on FF for close a year in Hawaii and told me some crazy stories about the lack of direction/story and massive waste.

The beginning sounds like something from Big-O or Cowboy Bebop the middle reminds me of Toonami To Hell With Fear they use to play when they re-air in 2012.

Im amazed and upset about how a little it of music "ruined" this for so many people before they knew anything concrete about it and now its nothing but praise. Im glad more people are on board though.

This looks too clean, in a not Blade Runner sort of way. They really need to grunge up the environment and add some film grain or something. Great talent tho!
@Drumsgoon3 жыл бұрын
That's true, but probably not so hard to add such a filter. It looks quite good otherwise.
@gtassa013 жыл бұрын
A filter won't help it. The models and environments themselves look too clean.

Yeah it looks more like Cyberpunk 2077 with Star Wars Rebels graphics than what I'd put into that OG blade runner vibe. But I'm open to see how it's handled.
@kidhack41413 жыл бұрын
So many adult concepts in the OG Bladerunner like slavery for labor, sex, and entertainment as well as ideas of death, purpose, and legacy. It’s hard to convey those ideas seriously in a plastic feeling environment.

I’m glad that they decided to do 3-D animation instead of just making it flat out 2-D like a typical anime. The 3-D makes it feel like this world is actually real. And I’m glad they decided to go back to using jazz🎷 music like the first BR movie.
