A few people are actually buying cargo trailers and converting them to travel trailers, I guess maybe its cheaper that way sometimes but I think its more so to do with the horrible designs and materials that travel trailers are usually built out of, just buy a shell and design and build it how you want by getting a cargo trailer.

Maybe you have preassure from other viewers, but I have no expectation of this trailer being completed quickly. It seems to me that we can look forward to years of more content that includes the occasional modification episode. So keep having fun and making content material that presents itself in natural progression.

I don't understand people placing judgments on your trailer, how you're modifying it, and whether your work is "pretty" enough. Slim, it's YOUR trailer! If you like the way something works or looks, ignore those who don't like it. They're not going to be using it, anyway. You're going camping, after all, not building a 5-star hotel!! Enjoy making your alterations, and enjoy your new trailer. Can't wait to see what you do with it! One question: What's your plan for protecting the fabric wall in your new shower area? I'm sure you have a great idea. Keep up the good work, Slim. And if someone doesn't like you're trailer, they don't have to go camping with you, do they? BTW, while you were -5F today, we were 86F (30C) in Dallas. Just sayin'.

Slim, your point at the end of the video is completely true. I modded one of those small 3/4 arcade cabinets. You've probably seen them in WalMarts. The reason was to play more games. I had no experience with woodworking, drilling or modifiying anything except a computer. In the end, I switched out all of the parts myself and drilled through the cabinet to place more buttons. Doing it myself, gave me a huge feeling of accomplishment. You are an inspiration to us all.

My question too, Shiner. A guy can easily pee from the doorway but what about women? As we age, male and female, waking up in the night to pee happens at least once, more likely twice, and often thrice! If it’s raining or snowing I’d rather have somewhere to pee inside. I guess a chamber pot with a cover would do for the night. Number one only of course!

You make interesting, informative and entertaining videos in which you maximise the limited space you have, making it multifunctional to suit your needs and choices. You have excellent presentation and narration, lighting and sound, ensuring that your viewers can get the most from your videos. The only design, fit out and equipment choice that matters is yours, because this is your trailer and you'll be using it as you choose. You are considerate in explaining your decisions to include or exclude different aspects of the trailer (for example the water heater and the inbuilt toilet and black tank). 17:54 -- well, I have been following projects like Sail Life, or Tally Ho, or Skill Builder (they have several projects that progress each week). for a few years now. So, no, not everyone is instant gratification minded. It is like "This Old House" series. Some people actually like that. I do, for example. So you may loose some viewers who need 30 minute gratification, and gain new viewers who like to watch a series. Do what works for you. And you will find an audience. You can not please everyone. So simply please yourself. :)

What kind of saw blade are you using? I had to cut some holes in a Fiberglas cabinet and the Fiberglas ate up the teeth on my saw blade. Some evening, could you put a 1500 watt heater in the trailer for a couple hours to see what temperature differential the trailer insulation can manage? My goal might be a comfortable 70 F on a 40 degree F night. Camping solo and making videos like you do, if it were me, I would try to figure a way to expand the table top or otherwise find ways to utilize the other seat space for more desk top area. Maybe a two layer desk top that would fold out over the other seat area or out into the isle. Good job.

I have never owned an RV of any kind that I haven't begun ripping stuff out of or changing it somehow to make it 'my own'. I don't think I could ever buy a new RV, because I'd do the same thing with it. Really looking forward to seeing the transformation of this little beauty, Slim!

Great video, Slim! Our little fiberglass was built without a shower so we found this entire video intriguing and very interesting. Looking forward to future videos. Keep 'em comin'! Take Care.

Awesome work, you certainly know how to organize a trailer by know with your experience. Put some washed river sand in the void under the shower tray and it should be good and firm when stood in? That conversion of the corner has come out super neat, I like! Regards, D

I would not have wanted the toilet where it was, OUTSIDE would be fine. Did see you convert it to a shower.. I know, to others who think how fast someone doer art on line, think I am able to crank out art just as fast. Nature is not as easy. Wild life does not sit still. Then there is a lot of hidden things I need to do, before I can paint on a flat board canvas, I prime first with Rust-olium flat white paint, sand . Once the under layer of canvas no longer shows i lay down an undercoat of colour. Then I check my sketches. and locate my GOLDEN MEANS ( focal Point) To make post card copies, each one I crop after I made a print and cropped it , then clear coat it, and then glue a backing. or white what it is, species of bird., then remove excess paper WORK

Living the life Slim 😁 Truly blessed... (I'm the queen of insomnia... it didn't bore me to sleep 😜 but I must say, you have a nice voice. Very calming, reminds me of the guy on PBS that did that travel show) Enjoy, stay safe...
