I just never thought you could have a market for leasing yard sheds? Seems a little predatory in nature… If you need a finance loan for a small tool shed then I bet the default rate is more than 80%. I wonder how many times these units are sold and repoed on the average? That’s the angle of this business.

These small buildings are not that expensive. I think the banks are stupid to even lend money. They must know it will end in a repo perhaps that is the game they play

Rent to own is not lending money,its not a loan. The banks are also not involved. there is no credit check. Its Rent to Own. the customers pay rental fee every month on the building until its paid for .

Personally, I'd have done some more research before repossessing anything on that lot. If the landlord/lot owner has a lien on it, it trumps the lien from the shed owner. You could get in serious trouble for taking it off the property without paying off the landlord's lien first. Unfortunately, "I was just doing my job." is not a valid excuse for grand theft on behalf of the shed owner. Hopefully the landlord doesn't get such a lien, and you won't have an issue.
