A Pro of hitch trailers you didn't mention was winching. You can detach, drive forward and winch the trailer to you when the mud would otherwise prevent you pulling it.

Having played this game for thousands of hours I've come to the conclusion that one setup is not better than the other. I use certain setups because I feel like using that setup at the time. Not because one is better or worse. Whichever setup I choose always gets the cargo to the destination.

The best trailer is a second truck. You can equip chains on one, and mud tires on the other, and they will push each other when one gets stuck. And if one of those trucks has a crane, you can even clean up a spill and keep on trucking.

I don't really buy into the 'meta' idea either. It's whatever you like. I tend to look at what cargo needs to be moved around the map and do vehicle selection so I can minimize future travels. For that I gravitate towards setups that can haul the most cargo. The 3 slot beds with the ramped flatbed seem to be a go-to favourite. 7 cargo slots are pretty handy. That said, backing up those hitch trailers are a pain and I will use saddle when I can get away with it, they are usually more stable and backing up isn't a chore, usually. Yes, I have used the 8 slot trailer in some less than ideal conditions, not because it was a good idea but because I CAN! Using the Zikz and hauling the super heavy trailer to the north camp in Tennessee was fun and frustrating at the same time. I like to imagine if the people were real and the receiving station saying "He's doing WHAT now?" I look ahead a lot and make decisions based off leaving trucks and trailers in certain places and maybe need later. If I can haul 7 slots of cargo in, detach and move another 2-3 cargo without the trailer, that speaks a lot as well.

I found myself preferring to use 2 trucks with flat bead and pulling one of them than using trailers, except for huge cargos. Also, I found myself using less the crane, unless the mission really requires it.

Another well-constructed video Nathan, keep it up :) When I was starting out I was obsessed with basically only using trucks that could use a crane, bed and trailer (Bandit, Azov 73210, Voron D, etc), and it really blinded me to some of the other excellent trucks like the Grad and the DAN. Then eventually I realised that almost every low saddle truck was also crane capable, and I've never looked back on using hitch trailers again lol. I'll still use the 2 and 4 slot hitch trailers occasionally for trucks that can handle the pulling weight, but it's almost always a sideboard semi-trailer with a crane for my dedicated haulers. I should probably experiment a little more though, I've never once used the wide heavy semi-trailer (outside of the Imandra plane mission) or the stepdeck semi-trailer, and I really should. I didn't realise how much ground clearance the wide trailer had until you showed us, now that's looking very appealing.

As someone who played all phases 2 times (once in single player and once in co-op), all I can say about trailer configuration is that "it depends" - sometimes the sideboard bed and hitched 4 slot trailer works great, sometimes you want to have a saddle sideboard trailer. I would agree that sideboard bed and hitched 4 slot has an advantage that your truck is still able to carry cargo if you decide to leave the trailer behind. One trailer that I would definitely avoid is the Super heavy - although it looks tempting to carry 8 cargo at once, most of the maps in Snowrunner are not designed for its length and it ends up being too long and too low to be worth the efforts.
@NProvince

I like to have 1 truck with each different setups, no "meta": 1 truck with crane and low saddle (for sideboard trailer when large cargo needed) 1 truck with a bed/crane and a 2 slot trailer 1 truck with a fuel addon for refuel and rescues 1 truck with a large crane (for realism and rescues and roleplaying large repair tasks) 1 truck (CAT) excellent off-road capabilities to "ferry" other trucks through horrible areas 1 truck with large saddle (use military trailer to deliver other trucks sometimes) plus use for the heavy missions

Personally I prefer the step deck semi trailer over the side board/flat bed semi trailers. I just find it more stable and although it doesn’t have much ground clearance it doesn’t get caught very much and just slides when not on its wheels. I am also a big fan of the 8 slot with the kolob and enjoy the challenge of it. Just my opinion.

Necromancer strikes! My go-to for huge hauls is... a saddle trailer and just towing the 4 slot hitch trailer behind a-la australian road train style. Sure it takes a powerful low saddle truck to do the deed, but I've done it in Amur, Yukon and Maine mud with the Voron Grad and stupid heavy loads. It works, somehow, and saves doing several trips. That being said, when it goes wrong... it goes REALLY wrong...

I usually go with a long low saddle trailer or just truck bed depending on the terrain, found more enjoyable making multiple trips than attempting 1 and flipping it :D. BTW : this video reflects how much could be improved in this "offroad cargo" game , like trailer tool boxes that actually do something, inflate/deflate tires , winch anchor options / tools , etc... but no we get racing trucks and more scouts that are unusable in these maps.

First year of the game was tayga with crane and sideboard saddle trailer. Or the step deck (the step deck cand actually haul 6-7slots of cargo or even more by having them held by the crane. I went full 5slot and two packs of metal beams on top of eachother on the little step. The crane rests on top and the winch is tied to tje bottom one. Pretty stable. Got me where i needed. The 8slot with kolob and zikz is another favorite for the latest big contracts and the challenge reminds me of the struggle with the big mission trailers. On some maps it is kind of doable to have two kolobs, each with the 8slot trailer.. really a along setup. The turns i take sepperatley with each truck. If i plan to go only one way (and recover after delivery) i go trailerless with the twinsteer or even two twinsteers tied together. There is a fun ballance to drive the twinsteer in my opinion. It is tippy but you can read the terain to judge if you can make it. Two twinsteers is kind of asking for tipping. And the twinsteer is fast, can submarine itself crossing water, and being so long it usually not gets bogged in the mud pits as the back axle is not into it, and when the back axles reach the mud the front already cleared. And being awd now i use it alot for trailerless delivery. Another combo i've used is a normal crane and sideboard bed offroad truck and the twinsteer towed. If i flip the twinsteer i have the crane to put it back. And latlely because of harder maps i go zikz with bed and four slot ramped trailer And another setup i've went extensivly is the low 10x10 azov that can have crane and bed and trailer or even better 3slot bed and four slot trailer, towing another 4slot trailer sometimes, or the twinsteer . Now that it got active suspension is a lot more usable. I'm a man and i only need 1 trip for my groceries unpack at home. The same i try to do in snowrunner. Reminds me of the old spintires game where i pretty much only loaded a bunch of unpacked logs with the c255 and delivered all cargo in very few trips. Old habits die hard.

@@NProvince Yes, i have a hardmode game started about 1/3 done with only the basic free fround vehicles. The GMC 9500 and the fleetstar are the workhorses in this playtrough, also the fav scout is the scout800 - tippy but fun and has a lot of range and quite big addon fuel spare and monster repair points for a scout. Sure tayga was free and used it a lot in the more harder regions. The same I did in spintires-mudrunner: play only with b130 (the Zil130 blue truck). Also being in sort of eastern europe ex soviet coutry a lot of those trucks i've seen in real life and by nature of my job i did also drove some of them (tatra 813, zil131, IFA, UAZ, kamaz, kraz) I was a pretty diehard player back in 2000-2010, now life happened and with work/kids/family/responsabilites the play sesions diminished a lot but not gone.

One thing I've found in my own play through is that the hitch trailers are more nimble in tight spaces but less stable. Sometimes that extra bit of flexibility can really make a difference when you're navigating through rocky terrain or twisty paths through trees. You bring up a lot of good points about the saddle trailers though, I should definitely use them more often, especially in terrain with a lot of side-to-side slope. One big drawback that I always run across when I use them though is they don't handle vertical changes very well. I've high-centered too many saddle trailers and just been really frustrated getting them over a big bump in the terrain. Also a drawback that you can't really use your winch on them when they're unattached because they have front anchors instead of wheels really makes rescuing saddle trailers a pain in case something does go wrong.

One more thing, regardless of what trailer setup you use always make sure the heaviest cargo is at the front (metal beams, concrete etc) and gets loaded first and unloaded last, or rearrange cargo inbetween if necessary. Unpacked cargo isn't actually heavy at all, and once it's lifted onto your trailer you can use your loading crane to push it to the back. You can also jackknife your trailer to better access more rearward parts with your loading crane. Also the hitched two slot flatbed sucks in my opinion, it's ridiculously heavy and it's all dead weight and especially early game with smaller trucks and smaller engines it feels like you're pulling a loaded trailer around when it's still empty, which if your truck is also empty can stop you in your tracks in some sections if you only have highway tires or dirt tires. If you feel daring use the four slot, weighs basically the same empty but with two extra cargo slots, otherwise use the two slot sideboard.

My personal "meta" setup for what I call a "powered" trailer, is the Voron 4380 and a 5 slot low saddle, winched by whatever. The Voron 4380 has a unique winch point on the axle pumpkin. It's a huge difference because it actually lifts up the truck in stuck situations and force turns the truck. The Voron is very light, with a good motor. It's the best powered trailer in the game

Thankyou for breaking the mould of the CraneBedHitchMasterrace. Just had a disastrous (but ultimately successful) learning experience thinking taking 4x concrete slabs on the 8 slot from Drowned Lands to Zimnegorsk was a great idea to save making multiple trips. Watching my 6436 getting pulled through some of the thicker stuff by the Tatarin, I noticed that the winched truck also accelerates and reverses with you, it's not just dead weight. That brought me onto a mega hauling combo that I'll soon be trying out: 5 slot saddle trailer (for weight on wheels cargo) with a loaded Twinsteer winched behind. Making it essentially a powered 4 slot hitch trailer (for less pulled weight?) For 9 slots total but less impact on my prime mover. Also gave me solid ideas of what could be implemented in the future (playing on console so not sure if there is the mod community already all over it): Add in the Stiff bar to connect trucks together for a solid physical connection whilst moving together as a winch option if you're super short range when making connection. Implementing trailers that are designed to be connected so we make B-Double/Triples or genuine Road Trains. Of course there aren't too many maps where it would be appropriate but don't let reality get in the way of a fun gameplay mechanic/ challenge.
@AstralDragoon
@AstralDragoon 7 ай бұрын
I've tried something similar, and I would recommend having the Twinsteer in front. Because its shape demands more careful navigation of turns, it's likely to get toppled if, for instance, it turns to follow the lead truck's steering and hits a bump on the inside of a bend. If it's in the lead, you can keep it stable, it has massive pulling power to keep the second truck moving, and the saddle trailer can grind around obstacles more easily because it weighs less.

My personal preference has become the stepdeck trailer. I'm not one to pack a scout on it, but because of how wide it is It further aids that balance you were talking about, and it has a lip to catch some cargo like the sideboard bed. When I was testing it on the proving grounds, it was faster than all other semi-trailers by almost 10 seconds. I just wish it was compatible with saddle high trucks or that we had an equivalent for saddle high trucks. I tried using the superheavys and it's just not the same, but it seems that the more axles a trailer has, the harder time it has going through the mud. The stepdeck has 2, the superheavy has 2, the 3-axle superheavy has 3, and that one is a decent bit slower than its brown twin. Have you noticed any pulling differences between the blue 3-axle and the brown 2-axle superheavy, or am I just imagining it?

Great video! Appreciate the thoughts. Those saddled trailer upsides didnt occur to me, especially the one concerning weight. Tbh I dont even use trailers that much since the regular "map" missions appeal to me the most and the multiple cargoes are mostly for the contract missions. But I will definitely consider using saddled trailers going forward. Its great too that you always recognize and respect that everyone has their own preference. I think this is especially true for a game like snowrunner where you really can just do stuff to enjoy the game and not necessarily always do it the most optimal way.

I've become a bigger and bigger fan of the saddle trailers the more I play for all the reasons you gave. Very very early on I was killing myself towing hitch trailers with empty beds on the truck and wondering why I just sucked. Once the pull/carry weight stuff was explained a lightbulb went off and I never looked back from saddles. So far I've really found the Freightliner m916a1 to be my absolute favorite as long as I don't need the crane, I truly don't understand why so many trucks have super long frames, even the cabovers. Shortest 6x6 truck + saddle trailer = beast at maneuvering, AND you can always winch tow a hitch trailer behind the saddle trailer if need be. I actually was just doing that today with a saddle fuel tanker and the generator behind it.

And the 3 mod combo's I use frequently is the Mercelus Z636 (Truck), OlSom's Trailer Pack and Olesen's Trailers. Trailers have high but soft suspenssion while with the truck you can choose high/low and soft/stiff. You can also lock the trailer pivot on the dolly trailers.

First on my trailer hate list is the gooseneck semi-trailer. Pretty much any obstacle on the road gets caught under it. Especially in those areas where there was a rockfall and the road was cleared afterwards. During a mission, two medium-sized rocks got caught between its wheels and it took me a long time to get them out (I was in a spot with rock walls on both sides, so I didn't have much freedom of movement). On another mission I ran past one of those areas where, even after the road had been cleared, the 'road closed' barriers kept appearing; my truck suddenly came to a grinding halt and at first I didn't understand why, because I couldn't see anything around my truck that could block it that way. On closer inspection, one of those effing barriers got snagged between the trailer's little wheels. That was a TRUE pain to get out. Like when you have a small piece of food stuck between two molars and it just doesn't want to come out, LOL! Again, thank you so much for these videos and your SnowRunner content in general. It has helped me a lot. Cheers! //Rick

I don’t like the dollies as they add a ton of resistance they don’t put weight onto the drive axles and they are a bear to reverse. One setup I've ran before is two of the international twin steers with the ramped flatbed trailer and 3 slot beds with the crane all daisychained together with a winch. You are only two slots short of the super heavy trailer on two trucks but you can turn and your landing gear doesn't get caught on railroad tracks. If the superheavy trailer didn't get its landing gear caught on stuff so easily I would use it more but it always does and not even the heavy crane can just pick it up at the front to get it over the obstacle. I do wish there was a "high mobility" saddle trailer with no skirting or low landing gear and maybe a 4 slot sideboard deck. I'd take the lower capacity for something more useful offroad

Me personally I run like the ausies do. I run my main rig with a 2 slot cargo bed on it. Via bumper pull I pull the 2 slot with the rails because it makes my trucks turn better. Now the part I do is I pull another 2 slot via winch. I play hard mode so I have a recovery rig for refueling and repair. And a a scout I will run the route to see any hazards and maybe help u flip a truck. (Will be the khan loaf when I get it) If need be will grab another rig to unflip my truck and use it to reload if possible. Not all trucks can have a bed crane pull but if not will use a second crane truck to load but usually don't need to worry

this is VERY helpful info thank you man for making this video. I used to never use low saddle trailers but after some experimentation I find the sideboard semi trailer is the best choice for me for most cargo types. It works great with the Tayga with crane and the new Mastodon with crane as well. Much easier to reverse as well compared to the "pup" or "dog" type hitch trailers which I always have trouble with the front axle going wacky.

I like hitched trailers more, mostly no problem to pull the trailer as long as you have load on the truck. But i think the "meta" is to use paystar 5600+ winch a second truck with hitched trailer. Winching a second truck, if one of your trucks tip over you can rescue it with the other truck. Also having 2 trucks (paystar winching a twinsteer) you can recall both, but thats of course not an issue in hardmode since there you dont rely on recalling.

I don't really like the Wide body flatbed much. Used it a bit when it came out in Season 1, everybody was hyped that "OMG Saber finally giving us a trailer with offroad tires" I'm sitting here reading peoples comments thinking "Um it's a trailer, axles aren't powered. It doesn't push you, it doesn't pull you, what difference does it make what bloody tires a trailer has?" Anyway I used it and meh, kinda seemed like a pain in ass for no gain over what a saddle low trailer can do. While it drags a bit, the Step-Deck otherwise seemed more stable and less prone to hangups. I stand by the Wide Body should of been a 10 slot trailer, 2 rows of 5 cargo stacked side by side rather then one row down the middle. The Wide Body looks big enough for it. Overall I even use the 8-Slot what more then the Wide Body. I use the 8-Slot with the Cabover KOLOB and I can usually bully the trailer into going anywhere it needs to go. There's been times I had the 8-Slot curved like L and I just keep bullying it and it usually gets though. You'd be amazed the places I've took that trailer. Only 2 places I can think of off hand where the 8-Slot can't go. First is that tight ass and completely unrealistic turn on the Smithville Damn. Second is the curvy piece of road in Season 7. Otherwise I'm betting I can likely get the KOLOB to force the 8-Slot to go wherever I need it, regardless if the trailer is happy going there or not. Like I said, I'll bully it in there. lol The worst trailer in the game is by far the Goosneck. It's not even the side riggers, Saber really needs to do something about that rare bumber. Alter the bit box on it, hell I don't care have the bumper be there only visually but otherwise make it clip though the ground and objects. Most times I'd never suggest this, but the Gooseneck is completely unusable in SnowRunner, it just can't go anywhere without constant hangups with that bumper how it is.

I'm actually a fan of the 8 slot semi trailer. I think it's one of the most useful trailers in the game. It takes a bit of planning, but especially when I'm doing the big contracts solo it's such a help to just be able to take the A7 or 605R and carry a huge bulk in one go. I don't like the ramped trailers and I generally do not use them unless I have to. I also prefer the flatbed hitch trailer over the sideboard model, especially for hauling 2 slot items as they're too large to fall between the stakes and the stakes are taller than the sideboards, also the double axles and lower floor make it feel more stable to me. As for the meta, I've played with people who basically always only run a meta setup, and I will purposely go out of my way to not do so in those cases. Sure sometimes it is the best solution to the problem at hand, but I find that it rarely is. I much prefer saddle trailers because it's that much easier when you have to fidget around with them. I've quite often had the "discussion" about needing to move 8 slots worth of cargo with a duo buddy, when the usual suggestion is to do two meta setups. But in my experience most people are open to a Kolob with 8 slot trailer and a support truck. Doing this means the support truck is much more mobile so it's more able to assist when needed. The 'second' Kolob with 8 slot and Azov Dolphin with a maintenance frame is an almost unstoppable team. In my experience this gets most things done faster and more easily than running 2 meta rigs.

Im so happy to see someone putting out videos on this game without superficial knowledge about things, very interesting to see a proper indepth view on even just the trailers. And I very much agree that the Semi Trailers have a lot of advantages compared to the hitched ones. Even if only for the reason that if you need to reverse with a hitched trailer while in a tight spot, you are in quite the pickle, but if you need to reverse with a semi trailer, with a little practice, EASY! A question, you mention the downsides of trailers max cargo, do you double stack? Cus its very common for me to fill the semi trailer or flatbed of a truck, load it, then put another row ontop, ofc I cannot load those, and it will be more top heavy, but thats just added challenge! Plus i find with careful driving the Semi-trailers and flatbed trucks are mostly fine with it, the hitched trailer i would deem to unstable for double stacking for the most part. Also this may be a long shot, Nathan or anyone reading this for that matter, anyone would like to play? Few of my friends play this game with me and thats rare, I play only really hardmode, got like 400-500 hours into it maybe, love logistics and such. :)

Nice review Nathan. I agree with you re saddle trailers over hitch trailers.... and I even agree with the truck you used in the video. The paystar 5070 with a saddle trailer and crane is my preferred option. It's a great little truck and often overlooked. With a saddle trailer and dual tyres on the rear it really isn't badly tippy. I think the only time a hitch trailer might be better is the Paystar 5600ts with 3 slot bed and crane + 4 slot ramp trailer. The 5600ts is so strong, stable, fast and capable that it can move those 7 slots with ease. Yes it drinks the fuel but with weight over the rear tyres you can save a lot of fuel by switching AWD off. I use the two combos mentioned in hard mode almost exclusively. Thanks for your great work and your content. 👍

I find that the biggest difference why u would wanna use a sadle trailer over a hitch is if u have a truck that tends to struggle with keeping the speed. If u have a truck that is stronger then it needs to be for whatever cargo u wanna pull then a hitch trailer isent gonna effect it that mutch becouse the truck can compensate with its extra power. However if u have a truck that is just above the line of having no issues pulling a sadle trailer and u switch over to a hitch now that truck can start to struggle alot when asked to pull the weight and u lose grip at the same time due to no pressure over the rear tyres. So if u have a truck that is more powerful then it needs to be but not OP your not gonna notice mutch difference, but if it is just above the required power and u swap from a sadle to a hitch u gonna notice it for sure. Not saying its gonna be impossable but u gonna notice a difference for sure in how smooth it goes.

I never use the small cranes unless a mission specifically calls for a crane. And even then i usually use large crane with ramped flatbed. Cranes are more of a hindrance than a help. I find the cranes themselves cause me to flip more because they add more weight up high and upset the trucks balance. The gooseneck i have only used for the large cargo containers because they love to cause rollovers. Had bad experience with that in island lake. Gooseneck prevents that. I prefer hitch trailers for extra space and you can drop and re attach using winch more easily if the truck is struggling.

I prefer the hitch trailers, you can easily stack on the bed and hold it with a crane, having the center of mass higher but safely carrying 8 cargo total while almost half of it (since cargo is lighter unpacked) is above the wheels of the truck. And being able to detach the trailer and winch it separately can be very useful.

I agree that the meta is the sideboard bed + crane + hitch trailer. So the obvious question is what is the best truck for that combo? I only have about 400 hours into this game so far so I haven't tried all the trucks yet. I'm using the GMC for this role currently in Yukon and it works OK, but the tank is a little small and it's easily damaged. Maybe the bandit? Or is there something better I haven't tried yet?
@NProvince

So in the video I actually argue that it should not be the Crane/sideboard bed/ hitch trailer for a few reasons. I think pending length of the trucks frame, the low saddle/ crane/ sideboard bed trailer is the best combo. Now trucks, I think there are a ton of trucks to handle this, but driving carefully really will mitigate being damaged. Something I think that holds back the hitch trailer is the fact that you are pulling weight, rather than carrying weight. This was explained in this video and moreso on my mudrunnin tips video as well. I hope this makes sense

@@NProvince Thanks for the reply (and all the content). For me, I play hard mode, so I don't like to buy trailers to save money. On early regions there are plenty of trailers everywhere but now I'm in Yukon and there aren't laying around. I like crane+sideboard+trailer because it's really versatile. If it's a small delivery I can leave the trailer, but with the crane I have the option to double stack cargo if the route isn't too crazy and carry quite a bit. Right now I'm using the Twinsteer a lot. I never had too much trouble with interference the sideboard and trailer, usually if it is tight there is something you can witch the end of the trailer to and straighten it out that way. On Taymyr I used the Tayga+crane+sideboard trailer a lot, but the yellow crane for US trucks is so much stronger. Not impressed with the blue RU crane.

Just a couple notes, what you keep calling outriggers, are not outriggers. Outriggers extend the footprint of a vehicle, making it wider and more stable. The crane anchors are outriggers. Those legs under the front of saddle trailers are called landing legs. Much like how a landing gear on an aircraft is needed to hold them up, it cannot support itself without them. This is the same with the trailers. The landing gear are required to to support the trailers, it cannot stand up without them. Outriggers extend out away, landing gear land on the ground to hold it up. That rail that runs under many of the trailers is a common European setup. Those rails are called side underride guards. Their purpose is to prevent a car from going under the trailer in a side collision. They are rigid structures and cannot be moved nor taken off as per safety regulations. They are not used on US trailers. US trailers that have large fairings under them, almost exclusively box types, only have them for better aerodynamics. They are lightweight and flexible, allowing them to bend under without damage on a sharp crest like at a dock or rail crossing. Final piece you didn't mention, longer trailer setups can help you cross open terrain more easily because you can winch from the side of the trailer. This is more useful with saddle trailers since they don't have the forward dolly to kink up and jam into the ground. A long trailer allows you to grab and winch onto very far spaced anchor points that would otherwise be unable to reach.

trailer meta or not, I'm proud I'm not the only one who tought about loading 3-4 loads of logs into the sideboard semi-trailer, for one drive to the log shop! also... if I do have more than 2 cargo to haul, I almost always pick the sideboard semi-trailer, instead of a truck and hitch trailer combo! what tractor do I use for pulling the loads? the civilian ank38 is just a beast! 3 maintanance trailers across the map, and I'm set! if the map has service stations, which taymir has (bless it), I always visit the service stations, for fuel and repairs, and utilize less trailers! Too bad ank's don't have the logging add-ons, cuz boi I'd like to speed-run the logging missions with them... about the fatboi lowboi heavy trailer! dragged that fatass all over michigan and taymir with the bandit (in superscout form) on top, and the bandit didn't even flintch in those mad angles! "trucks can come unpacked on the lowboi" is a weak statement :)) I never had it happen to me! other than sideboard semi-trailers, lowbois, and maintanance hitch trailers, I haven't used any of the others... all the trailers I find on the map, if I can use them for objectives, I will use them, then sell them, soo I can upgrade my trucks (on the very beginners maps of michigan), later on I will just use the crane to tip over the cargo from the trailers, and just sell them :)) the naked flatbed semi-trailer is not the same thing as the sideboard semi-trailer, the cab can't move as freely with it, compared to the sideboard variant, soo I usually flip the cargo off those, and sell them imediatly! you can try it yourself, so you can see what I am talking about, even jacknifing the truck doesn't work with that, spinnign the whole rig on a dime

Very interesting topic, thank you for reviewing it! I would like to say that I think the video would be much more enjoyable to watch if there wasn't the sound of the background gameplay, the engine noise makes it harder to listen to your voice 😅

I was wondering why fuel and maintenance trailer got same amount of fuel, but maybe the fuel one is a bit lighter and thats the only pros bout it ?
@NProvince
@NProvince 2 жыл бұрын
I think they are pretty much the same weight as I know, The Maintenance trailer is like an in between from the regular fuel trailer and the repair trailer.

@@NProvince Ye, but the maintance carry much less repair points than the regular repair trailer
@NProvince

@@OPTCO1 Yessir, thats why I said it was an "in between" both repair trailer and the normal fuel trailer. Its pretty safe to say if you need a fuel trailer but might need a few repar points as well, the Maintenance is a solid pick to do both

dont you just love watching that fuel trailer that probably weighs a few tons bouncing up and down like a weightless baloon on the ground

Do you have anything for logging? I'm trying to find a good medium log setup besides just using the cat and the forester.
@NProvince
@NProvince 2 жыл бұрын
I would say that both Taygas would be good, the Azov 73210 is solid and a few more trucks with good balance will always be good for medium logs. The Forester and the 745C are most definitely safe bets though

@@NProvince Yes still the process of unlocking the other Tayga. Tried a few of the USA trucks, and they be tippy if using a higher suspension.

i just for the life of me can't stand dollies! try reversing one offroad when you're in a pickle. that alone is enough for me to pick a saddle trailer. even if that means i'll have to make some tight manouvres
@NProvince
@NProvince 2 жыл бұрын
Reversing is tough with hitch trailers for sure. I do think saddle trailers do better in tight situations due to jackknifing the trailer and simply pulling forward, kinda like shown in the video. It’s really a trade off between both trailer sets, which I hope this video helped clear things up :)

Great video this is entertaining and I’ve watched a lot of your snowrunner videos, only thing I can say is I don’t believe you would cause any controversy with the snowrunner community lol, pretty sure everybody just likes to take pictures o their trucks in their said enviorments lol it ain’t really that deep, I used to pull four slot ramp trailer but the hitch keeps me from flipping more and is much easier to back up with that’s enough for me. Michigan is the only place I really didn’t use a hitch trailer, the Yukon was a hitch for everything especially that damn gold mine.

Ya perhaps your right, it probably isn’t that deep. Oh man, hitch trailers in Yukon, whew your brave! Respect man! It’s always cool to hear that people are having success in different ways

meta meanst beeing efficient. and hauling more shit in less runs is the most efficient thing hence why semi trailers are surely not efficient but just more convenient for some
@NProvince
@NProvince Жыл бұрын
I think efficiency is more than just being able to haul more cargo (1 cargo more than semi trailers). Maneuvering, balance, and some of the other things mentioned here also add to being efficient if it’s helping you stay on your wheels, and adds traction as well. Pulling more cargo is a benefit for sure
