Trailer & Tool Security! I Upgraded!

After years of using the Dewalt MobileLock system I am switching to WhereSafe, the dewalt system is forcing me to buy another setup, and with it only running on the Verizon network I’m not as big of a fan now. The WhereSafe system roams across all cellular towers and networks regardless of provider which causes much less dead spots in tracking. The system is incredibly simple and the app is also very easy to use and see right where your trailer is at all times. So far after a month or so of use I’m very impressed. I can't help thinking that the bracket arrangement is a bit of a weak point. To easy to remove and leave somewhere or even place in another vehicle going in the opposite direction. Guess it depends how good the tracking is or if there are anti-tamper systems built in.

Lot of different options available from them that mount securely. I picked this one because I’d like to move it between trailers as I have hydraulic dump trailers, multiple flatbeds, cargo trailers as well as gear I leave on site and didn’t want to have to have one for every unit I have. The tracking is incredibly good and nearly real time from what I’ve done with it. You’ll get a text the second pretty much that it moves, leaves your geo fenced area, or exceeds the speed setting you put for it etc. The Dewalt didn’t compare for sure.

Thank you for another great video. Can this system be installed inside the trailer so as no body can see it.or if you have three work trucks can one be mounted in each work truck so nobody can see them. Thanks for the video.

Yes it can, they have ones that can connect under the dash hidden as well for fleet tracking. They have a bunch of different ones available for everything from tracking jobsite equipment to the built in units and of course the one I put on my trailer roof here.

Oh I always do. There are 2 cameras that can see this trailer at its storage location. There are cellular security cameras on my shop and inside my shop as well. I have so much invested at this point I’m extremely careful. Thanks for checking it out!

@@MillisConstruction I use Abloy for my Lock Out / Tag out Padlocks ! It will even resist Bog Standard bolt cutters !
