The way you developed that piece one instrument track at a time sounded so good it seems like you could make a song just with that technique, in addition to having the finished product you made, at hardly any extra cost.

After not too many years of composing but being able to do all these things already... all I can say is... god dammit I wish I had these videos and such a nice speaker teaching me the bases of virtual orchestral composition. Great video, amazing work, will keep an eye on the channel. Muy buen trabajo tío.

Great video! Very useful indeed! I've just used this to setup my Albion ONE template. Does the CC2 setup at 4:28 require Kontakt explicitly, as I can't find the tool icon in Kontakt Player? I'd love to do the crossfading with the different patches - Legato -> Chords.

Does anyone still have the patches available Marc created above? The link above is no longer working.

So while using the template you have all instances of instruments, active? I mean all instruments/samples loaded ? What if you don't have enough ram?

Olà Marc :-) tremendous helpful video!!! Thank you! This is in my opinion what comes nearest to the famous setup Vangelis used, where he was able to have all the orchestral sections+combination under his fingertips :-) It would be wonderful to have an in depth video how to make exactly each instance with the balances and cc for every instrument group/family. You explained some instances, but for example the strings and the full orchestra seems more complex... I would pay to have an in depth video about that. Do you know Vangelis setup? It is an incredible machine with symbols etc. (old sounds but incredible capability: he used to improvise the full track on this setup and it was the final release... :-) I admire your work! Ciao dall' Italia/Germany..... Edit: WOW I just discovered that you give the patches (in the description)!!! This is very generous, I tried them out and this is marvelous!!!! Thank you!!!!

I am so glad i only have to do this only for my game and not living from it! I like doing it but i would hate doing it for others. I went the hard road to make my game since i had to learn everything including the musical score but my main satisfaction came that i think only me had in my head the type of soundtrack i wanted for it.

Awsome quick tutorial and inspiration. I see you're using 1 instance of Kontakt to hold several patches. Could we know which patches are in each instance...?? Especially for those of us who aren't using Cubase. I attempted to bring the instances in and load them via the patches you've provided, but it's looking for a naming convention I don't have. I thought that maybe it had something to do with the DAW... not sure... Ant any rate, thank you again!
@jaythansparksmusic3 жыл бұрын
...also, will there be a PART TWO...??? One that will go into more depth of how this particular template is constructed, especially for those who aren't as far along as most who are viewing this screencast (thanks so much).
