Sorry to see you guys had a bit of trouble out there. Lucky to have the tools and knowledge to get going again. Thanks for looking after the FJ when we went to town and hope you found enough yellow to fix your trailer. Stay safe 💛

Sometimes you just get lucky. We usually travel alone but you never expect to have something like this go wrong.

Mick, I couldn't have had anybody better to help . My younger brother Merv and I have pulled ourselves out of many scrapes and scraps over the years.

Hi Diane, Travelling in the Australian outback is to some extent a risky business. You never quite know what to expect but all you can do is be well prepared. I learned a long time ago that you are wasting you time taking spare parts. If something breaks it's never something you brought along. We try to carry fix-it bits and pieces like nuts and bolts, wire, zip-ties, glue and a nice little tool kit.

Easy in hindsight, but shouldn't have loaded it up again after the first break, what a nightmare.

is that a 750 kg trailer carrying 1200 kg 🤪
@moneybox57334 жыл бұрын
Perhaps not quite that heavy bobcat man. 60L water = 60kg, 50L Petrol = 35kg, 300kg in two quads, dryblower 30kg, generator 30kg and a few other odds and ends. It was most likely not overloaded but was certainly not designed to be towed by a 4WD truck over rough terrain.
