Thank you for that, did not know there might be two lengths, although I had a spare belt, was not sure it was the right length. As I am off on a long trip soon, decided to take off old belt. It was in much the same bad condition as yours. Luck had it I had the right spare and got it on nicely without taking off fan.

Thanks for this great video! I'm willing to change my squeezy belt and tensioner next week. But My D1 300 TDI has a compressor with a separate belt. How do I have to tighten that belt? I think it isn't a tensioner with a spring.

Do you have a référence for the roller of the tensioner pulley ?

Thank you for your videos. They really help me a lot. Could it be that the number for the automatic tensioner is ERR 4708 instead of ERR 4707 because I can not find anything if I search for ERR 4707.
@lma31586 жыл бұрын
You are very right, ERR 4708 is correct. The ERR 4707 is the old nr for LHH100660 which is the crankshaft pulley for the timing belt . Best regards

I have a 200tdi which was modified with a 300tdi from a discovery. ..how do I tell which belt I need? Can't see it printed on it.

Rewatched the videos. ...best way to take the belt off and measure 1580 🆚 1595?
@trailerfitter26 жыл бұрын
It's only the size of the alternator pulley that determines the ength of the belt.

Land Rover Toolbox Videos thanks for the reply. Relatively recent purchase and am a novice....tbh if it wasn't for your channel I don't think I would have plumbed for it! I don't see any markings on the belt and assume the alternator pulley won't be identifiable so might get both belts and send the wrong one back...
