FYI - pressing the + and - buttons on Pod 1 adjusts the intensity of both pods simultaneously (same as pressing the + and - button in the app). You can't balance the pod intensity independently. In fact, there is only a + and - button on Pod 1. You should correct this inaccuracy, as if someone keeps pressing the + or - button, they are simply increasing the intensity on both pods which will not have the effect you describe.

Try active recovery, but also use a foam roller and make sure you do proper pre and post run stretching: www.trailandkale.com/tips/best-stretches-for-runners/

Hello, do you find that the 6 programs are sufficient for your purposes compared to the greater number of programs available on the wired devices you have used in the past? Specifically, you talk of using the wireless device for “recovery massage” - do you know how this differs from the “massage” function on the wired devices? My primary interest is in releasing leg muscles after exercise. They tend to tighten up to protect an injured knee, plus I get fluid build-up around the patella.
@trailandkale2 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋🏼 to be honest they work fine for me. If the exact program for a specific muscle group isn’t there, then I’ll use the closest one I can find and I still get the benefits of the tens, or massage function

Hi T&K, Just came across your review, I am pretty new to these devices, wondering if you are still using this particular device, I am ultra distance runner and was considering either one of these devices or the air compression trousers any advice or experience using these devices for runners? thanks in advance

Hey there! Yes I still use this Compex regularly - love it so much. The sport elite 3 is also excellent but it’s wired - I reviewed it in trailandkale.com if you’re interested in learning more about that unit
@LeinonenHannu2 жыл бұрын
You wrote on Compex sports review "It (mini) has fewer levels and operates at a lower intensity, ...." How does lower intensity affect? Is compex sport more powerful? Does it work you muscles harder?

What is your opinion on EMS vs percussive massagers? I notice you have previously briefly reviewed the compex massage gun. What do you get the greater efficacy from?Lastly, have you had success with potentiation for warming up before a run/race? Is it sufficient for a good warm up?
@trailandkale4 жыл бұрын
Hey there, percussive is great for massaging out knots - similar to actually going to a sports masseuse. ESTIM is really good for activating blood flow like before a race for example which does work very well. It’s also a great way to massage muscles after intense effort because you can just sit there and relax 😊 I also love the strength (resistance) setting on the ESTIM.

Hi, are you able to use this on the shoulder area? I’m specifically asking for the supraspinatous muscle.
@trailandkale3 жыл бұрын
Hey you can absolutely use this on your shoulder area - please check with Compex for specific muscles however, but I don't see why you couldn't reach the supraspinatus muscle even though it's small.

Does the phone app only work with the wireless stimulator? Or does it work with the other stimulators?
@trailandkale4 жыл бұрын
I believe the app is just for the Compex Mini Wireless
@mick79094 жыл бұрын
Yeah sadly only works with the new mini .... I tried this with my order set and didn't unfortunately as the wireless controller is a bit of a pain.

Adjusting the + and - on the other power unit changes both units and not just the one. Unless I am missing something, but I don’t see it. Wish the power can be adjusted separately like the compex 6.0 or 8.0.

How often do you need to replace the pads?
@trailandkale4 жыл бұрын
Every couple of months depending on usage
@mick79094 жыл бұрын
It also depends on how naturally oily your skin is and how much body hair you have. if you have naturally oily skin and you can make the pants last longer if you wash your skin first.... I'm actually still using a set of pads which are now getting close to 4 months.
