Heading to Bald Mountain tomorrow to beat the heat. We only live 30 minutes away. Snow was too deep a few weeks ago. Should be good now!

Right on! Ya, I was up there last week, though the Tamarack entrance, there is some decent snow on the shady parts of the trail. But passable with high clearance, you’ll be good! Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

Great video Greg!!! I'm trying to think the last time I was out where it was really hot. A/C ideal is cool but maybe I'll wait till they come out with a case version 😅. I'll be honest that diesel heater is definitely high quality!! My cheap diesel heater hasn't failed me yet but who knows. It's hit or miss honestly. My buddy has been using his for 4 years no issues. But the same model for his brother has failed twice within 6 months. So I could see why you'd want to make one with high quality parts.

Right on! Ya, the AC is definitely a luxury item for sure. I plan on putting it to the test this summer and seeing if/how it really helps! Thanks for being one of the most consistent viewers bro! Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

Ya man, it’s such a luxury item. Well worth it if you get out camping a lot in the summer. 🙌🏼👏🏻👊🏼😀

what are the average nightly temps where you are camping? Any medical conditions?
@TrailNewbie4 ай бұрын
It varies. In the Summer if I get to high elevation - high 60’s. Desert and lower its 80’s-90’s. No medical conditions - that I’m aware of 😅

Greg, do you know, or did you test the battery life, for expected usage? Great video and thanks!!!!
@TrailNewbie5 ай бұрын
It’s my understanding that with the Zero Breeze battery that I showcased in the video (which is around 850wh) that it can run on rocket mode for 3 hours and lower settings for 8 hours. With this battery included, when I travel I have around 3,500wh in my rig. Couple that with solar and charging from the vehicle, and I’m hopeful that I’ll have sufficient battery power to run the Zero Breeze for multiple nights. 😁 Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

Greg, how long does the zero breeze battery last?
@TrailNewbie5 ай бұрын
Great question! On the rocket mode, the Zero Breeze batter will last 3 hours of continuous cold. On a lower setting I’m told that it will run for up to 8 hours. My plan is actually to use this in conjunction with my 1,500wh VTOMAN battery which should give me around double that. I’ll still bring the Zero Breeze battery with me for 1 nighters, but multiple nights I’ll be using a different battery system. 😃 Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

dont see them much cuz in ca/"the west"; you know it doesnt always stay hot enough at night in the mountains or desert to need AC, usually never more than 70 at night...just crack open a tent flap or roll your window down a bit and these things are just cumbersome and too much going on, that zero breeze is kind of obnoxious, not many really want a boombox sized ac unit in their roof tent, a big ground tent, maybe
@TrailNewbie5 ай бұрын
Ya, you make a good point. If you get high enough in elevation in the west you don’t really need at night. I have some desert trips planned for the summer. I can’t wait to see how it performs when the nighttime temps are in the high 80s or low 90s. Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

I don’t see how anyone can charge the batteries up day after day unless you plug it in or use generator.
@TrailNewbie5 ай бұрын
Ya, good point. The battery can be charged off of solar, and/or off of vehicle while driving. Indeed, with this, you will need to be very cautious with your battery consumption. Thanks for watching and for the comment! I really appreciate it!🙌🏼🙏🏼👊🏼😃

How long through the night does the ac Unit last?
@TrailNewbie5 ай бұрын
@@ToddGodfrey great question. 3 hours on Rocket Mode. And 8 on low. This is with the battery they sell. But you can also use any other larger power station and get much more time out of it. 😀

What's up with overlanders? All this is getting out of hand, AC, Toaster, Microwaves, Blenders, Toaster Ovens, Fridges, Espresso Machines, Heaters and Battery Packs. Taking everything away from camping that makes it great.🤦🏿♂️

So many bad reviews complain that this thing won't cool down your whole car. Some folks even skip connecting the hoses right! The real kicker? The BTU output (which they show on their website) is 2300 BTU. A little digging online would show you this thing is really meant for spot-cooling in the sun or keeping your bed area a bit cooler at night.
