As a guy in my 50’s, I’m glad to hear your health issue is not anything life threatening. Let yourself heal man. You have to take care of your health. People understand, especially the people on here that are getting older and don’t heal as fast as we used to. I don’t know about anyone else, but I live in upstate New York, we get snow and ice. If I slip and fall, before I even move, I check to make sure that I can still wiggle my feet. I used to just jump back up. Pretty messed up, now I sit for a minute to make sure I can still feel all of my extremities. Take care man. Be safe.

Did the same thing back in 22’ Ended up having to have shoulder surgery. Out of the hospital the same day. VERY sore for about two weeks. Physical therapy for about 2 months and now in 2024 the only reminder of my injury is the two small scars from the procedure. Good luck bud.

Hello Brad. I just joined the TraiRecon Adventure Crew. I love all the information that you put out. I am very new to the Jeep Family. I just bought a 2024 JLU Rubicon. It is still completely stock. My gas struts for the hood came in today and can't wait to put them on this weekend. I had no idea overlanding was such a big thing. I live in Washington and plan on hitting the WBDR this summer. I will probably have to do it in a couple of different outings. I can' wait!

Having suffered rotator cuff injuries 8 years ago, I went through over a year of PT and got a lot stronger, but only to about 90-95% recovery. I finally opted for PRP therapy and shortly after the third shot had completely recovered. I highly recommend looking into it to see if it’s appropriate for your situation. Good luck!

I sure hope the shoulder heals quickly and properly! At least you’re able to drive. I didn’t hear you mention surgery, so let’s hope P.T. does the trick! I just had hip replacement surgery last Thursday, so no driving for a month or so for me (that’s what I’m told), and just staring at my Gladiator and XJ is already killing me! No worries on fewer adventure videos, just get yourself healed up properly, we’ll watch pretty much whatever you decide to give us.

I have the same mud flaps on my Mojave and they work great. Reduces dings from rocks as well as less mud. Had to do some custom cutting around the rock rail steps to make them fit. Best wishes with the shoulder healing.

Man I hear ya on the shoulder injury. I’m just now getting over a pinched nerve in my neck that affected my shoulder and you feel so useless not being able to do things like you normally would. We don’t heal up like we used to when we were younger unfortunately. The physical therapy seems to take forever but it was nice to have someone to work through it with and discuss your progress, what helped, what didn’t, etc. Take your time getting better and we can wait for that next awesome adventure video.

Brad I can speak from experience, shoulder injuries suck.. take care of the shoulder.. I think everyone that watches your channel would much rather have you healed up versus trying to "man up" and produce trail videos. Well At least I do... get healthy, take care of yourself first,. The desert is perfect after a good rain. The plants and animals love it and it keeps the dust down. I spent most of my early wheeling/exploring days in the Vegas and Phoenix areas. The Mojave Desert was a lot more windy than the Sonoran desert. I think it’s due to the fact that the valleys have higher elevation contrast with the mountains, as they are somewhat higher in elevation than the ones in the Sonoran desert. Like you, I despise the wind. Lol! Great report as always!

I run the Teraflex Axis mud flaps on my jku I love them. It’s not about looks not that I mind the looks of them but the functionality is just great. They protect your vehicle and people that follow from getting lobbed by a huge rock that your MTs picked up. I hope your shoulder heals soon. I have suffered rotator cuff injuries and I completely understand.

Let the Copilot (my son) drive today. Whoop over whoop over whoop. I gave him advice that after each whoop, a right foot has a tendency to sink lower, and don't forget where that brake pedal is. "There's a brake peddle?" He asks But we're in the Mojave (the truck, not the desert) and I haven't seen it breakdown yet. May I suggest external reservoir bypass shocks (a necessity for California sized pot holes anyway) and cast steel steering knuckles to begin with?

Great stuff. First time in Southern California just 4 weeks ago realy nice. It was a bit cold at night but not too bad. We had our starlink modified in Sandiago. so far, so go. They have a 12v conversion, but you have to pre-order. So I'll have to do that part myself.

Brad, everybody gets hurt once in a while on how it is. I yenk out my shoulder in the late 80s. And I'm 62 years old and raise times I can't even lift up. My left shoulder left arm. It hurts so bad. So when you need to take it easy, take it easy, did you get older? It takes longer to heal takes longer to recover. You're most important thing is. Do you wanna do this things that you love doing? And you enjoy doing but no one's not coming for if you have to take time off to do something to take care of yourself you're to me and who is running the stuff you need to sit there. Take care yourself. Most important me and your videos can come. You know your videos can come back when you're well enough to do. Everybody's gonna be. OK with it, but there's it ways. You can do it find doom, but don't press yourself to sit there. And you have to make videos though you don't. You need to sit there and take care of bread and give them A. Your wife likes in appreciates when your kids appreciate you. So take care of yourself your fans will be okay. They'll wait for you return and way for you to be healthy and ready to go out again.
