Fins n Things was the first "difficult" trail that I did in Moab, and it remains one of my favorite. Looking forward to it the next time I get back there. I miss the white "stegosaurus" paintings they used to use for trail markers.

Nice video! I loved Fins & Things when I lived in Utah. We don't have anything like Moab here in Hawaii. Or, for that matter, anywhere else in the USA that I'm aware of! Andy McKane, Maunaloa, Molokai, Hawaii.

@Alan I'd hit baby's lion back right out of the gate. Takes no time at all but it's super fun. Then run chicken corner to the end. That's a great start that's what I did on my first trip there and it was great warm up to the slick rock. Day 2 I hit hells revenge and I'm glad it wasn't the first. Lol

Great video, thanks for sharing. We are going to Moab the end of September with a couple UTV's (Polaris Ranger 800 and a Honda Pioneer 1000) and wondering if these machine are suitable for Fin & Things? Also, do many of the more difficult sections have easier access around them? Thanks for any advice.

How much fuel did you use for this trail? I’m planning to be in the Moab area around January/February and was looking for fun trails. I have a 392 and was wondering if I would need extra fuel.
@TrailTraveler
@TrailTraveler 3 ай бұрын
The trail is only 10 miles long and is just outside of town. You can easily fuel up in town, run ALL of the trails in Sand Flats, and make it back to town on a tank of gas.

Hi, you seem like a person to ask about Moab. I am going to Moab for the first time this coming Thursday and I was wondering if you can recommend trails we can hit for beginners. Even though I have a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 392, I consider myself as beginner. I will be there for 5 days. I thank you in advance.
@TrailTraveler
@TrailTraveler Жыл бұрын
Do you have skid plates? The 392 exhaust is very exposed, I can recommend some based what you have done to it.

No but I do have the Extreme Recon Package that will give me roughly 2 more inch clearance. I was thinking to go Shafer, Chicken Corner and Hurrah for 5 days?? What do you think? I wish I can go with you lol...joking...maybe next time.@@TrailTraveler

You guys run your lockers for this trail?
@TrailTraveler
@TrailTraveler 9 ай бұрын
It depends on the conditions of different obstacles. If it is nice and dry, we usually don't need them. If it is colder, maybe some moisture, then we may need them. It just depends on the conditions.

Looks fun, but I'd be scared of destroying my $50k+ truck. I used to track modded cars back in the day, and that got to be an expensive hobby with everything breaking, so I can only imagine it's the same with off-roading. If you have the money for the repairs, then yolo lol. I'd be happy to watch and take photos though!
