Truly enjoy your videos, stories and general knowledge of so much. I live in Arkansas. Fish a lot. Mostly, bluegill and shell cracker. My daughter lives in Baltimore now so I’m spending more time in Maryland. Will be buying your book and soon investigating some fishing areas around Baltimore. Keep the excellent videos coming. Many thanks.

Great stuff!!! Just found your channel love it. The Zebco stories sure brought back the memories. I guess we all got started with a 202. I still have two Zebco 113's micro reels. My Father bought my brother and I when I was around 14 my brother 11. I have them in a display case in my room. I have a room very similar to yours, my KZbin channel has mostly 99% been about arrowheads, but have been wanted to do more things and stories like you do. Finding your channel has been an inspiration to me. Thank you, truly made my day.

Hi, I came across your video today (3/27/2004) and had to send this. My uncle (Dale Rowe) was the accountant/bookkeeper at Zebco from the early 1940s until about 1972. His story on the fishing reel idea was that, the owner (an avid fisherman) had an idea of combining some parts of a pencil sharpener enclosed in a dog food can, showed it and a sketch to his engineer/draftsman and said, "Make that work". Supposedly, the rest is history. I've heard other versions of the story, but thought you might like that one. Whatever the real story was, can you fathom the imagination of someone who could dream up something like that? Simple, but not. Also, I don't know if this still applies, but you could send an old, broken, smashed reel back to Zebco and they would fix it, free of charge, as long as it was a Zebco. Kind of like Zippo lighters and Craftsman tools. Anyway, I enjoyed your video.
